Cajun Cliffhanger?

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby SFGA 11 on May 14th, 2003, 2:22 pm
I was wandering, for those of you who have ridden Cajun Cliffhanger what was it like? How did it work? My teacher was talking today about there was a lot of G-Forces on it. I always wanted to ride it, but never got a chance to.

You would go into this circle room, stand up against the wall. It would spin for about a minute and once up to speed the floor would drop out from under you and the G's would keep you up against the wall. Then the floor would be raised to a couple inches below your feet and then you would slide down to the floor as the thing came to a stop. It was a very fun ride and could really make you dizzy if you rode it a few times in a row. It used to be a nice spin dry after riding Roaring Rapids :).

I've never actually seen CC but by the description it sounds like a gravitron that they have at small-town carnivals and stuff. Those are usually themed as a flying saucer type thing.

Its the same concept Dre.However , only the inner wall of the ride actually would spin. The rest of the structure was housing and the ride-op was at the controls looking down at the circular wall.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

I know that girl who lost her toes on that ride. That was a pretty good ride too. She shouldn't have worn sandles

Was she wearing sandals at the time? I'm sure the ride-op would have caught it. C. Cliffhanger was a nice ride while it was around.

Whenever I rode it the ride op always caught people that tried sneaking on with sandals. She should have been smart enough not to go on it with sandals. The signs said do not go on this attraction with sandals. You think nothing is going to happen but all of a sudden something does. The afterwards you feel really stupid. They put up those signs for a reason. They arent just for show.

Nothing got cut off. When the floor came up her toes got caught under it and her toes broke.
