Talk about publicity... My local NPR station (WUIS) had a story this morning in our local segment about Hurricane Harbor and how it was aiming to compete with Wisconsin Dells. It was a live read, not a taped segment. This means that the person reporting was one of our own at the station and not just some farmed out report that they picked up from one of the Chicago stations.
Now I realize that to you Chicagoan types anything south of I-80 is southern Illinois, but this station covers the Springfield IL area and has a sister station broadcasting the same programming in Pittsfield, IL (Western IL). The furthest Northern place it reaches is just south of Bloomington-Normal. It extends south all the way to Litchfield. Thats quite a reach.
Whoever is handling public relations for SFGAM is doing one heck of a job, and I hope that they get transferred to SFSTL. After all that park is a bit closer to me and it could really use good PR since we no longer see ads for that park.

It's the most fun in the park when your laughing in the dark.
