And let's not forget - that's Disneyland and this is Six Flags...it's never gonna happen!

Adding some more crazy stuff since someone else did.

make the Giant Drop where they shoot you up and then you freefall down
or adding a laydown and upsidedown version of Giant Drop

adding a ride like Maxair or Delirium and making it standup floorless

Make American Eagle a Wooden Standup Florrless Launch

Mr DT said "Enclosing the park in a dome. ROFL! That'll never happen. But then the park would at least stay open year-round if it did. "

another crazy idea would be to add heated sidewalks then the park would be opened year round

Lame and crazy, but it would be nice (and completely unrealistic of course) to have Great America open during the winter holidays, and have it themed as such, i.e. FF. Like Santa's Village but with way better rides; and it would be cool to have a Mr. Six impersonator (or even the real one, whomever he is) dressed as a skinny dancing Santa Claus handing out little gifts during a big night time parade (little things like candy canes or if they wanna go all out, free tickets, free food coupons, etc.) They could always do that (if they were so inclined) during the summer, but then it would be kinda pointless (to me, anyways.)

My crazy idea would be for a sort of Coaster/Ski Lift up a 5,000ft mountain. The coaster would go up the mountain to probsbly a ski resort, but on the return trip have a 5,000ft freefall. I know Gurnee will not have a 5,000ft mountail for 8,000,000 years BTW.

This is a joke but I'm gonna give it away anyway. How about transforming the Batman roller coaster into a space-themed slow ride omnimover. The loading dock would become a space station. The lift system would be extended from the top of the hill all the way to the end of the ride. Then the whole thing would be enclosed indoors and throughout the ride you can see stars, planets, nebulas, and galaxies. You get to feel the weightlessness as you slowly move through the elements of what was once the Batman roller coaster ride. The ride will be so dark you can't see the track above you. And finally the seat arrangement would be fixed so people can load every ten seconds or less, like on the Disney rides.

This is a silly thing that I wanted to give away.

I always thought it would be cool if wizard had mid evil theme with a huge wizzard standing in the spiral. Then little dragons, knights, and more wizards all around.

Also i think it would be cool if batman had like a bat in the middle of the first loop.

its Wizzer, not Wizard. and the theme of the surrounding area is an old time town. I'm not saying that a ride like Wizzer wouldn't look good like that, but it doesn't fit the area or the current name.

edit: grrr...typo. yes, its Whizzer.

I don't have a detonator; its on a timer.
A countdown timer?
No, a count-up timer. It goes from one to explode.

It's actually Whizzer, but another crazy idea that I had was putting just the waterpark in a dome. I don't know how big the largest indoor waterpark is (Kalahari), but a waterpark being open all year long would make SFGAm a bundle of money.

I would love to see something as simple as tunnels on Viper. Do like SFMM has on Psyclone, and enclose the stretch from the station to the lift.
Another think I always thought would cool would be a stand-up enterprise. Retrofit The Orbit with cars that you can stand up in! I think that would be one wild ride!
Finally Coaster Season!!

Here's another RIDICULOUSLY crazy idea I came up with from a dream I just had ...

Resurrect Sky Whirl somehow, but have it be giant.... nearly 700 feet tall, looming over the ENTIRE park.... imagine the original Sky Whirl, only about 10 times as big... that would possibly be one of the scariest/most intimidating rides to look at, but it would be just a gentle ride.

Ooooooooh, that'd be amazing.

Also, as for the dome that I pictured-- I didnt pictue one specific dome (like in the Truman Show), I was picturing a sort of thinsulated dome, similar to the ones used in BioDome... (i hate to reference that movie), where the dome is built around the existing objects... so essentially just an enclosure to keep the snow away.

This would pose numerous problems with snow accumulation/ablation, however this thread is for crazy ideas which would never work, so it somehow fits.

Can anybody else imagine how scary a GIANT sky whirl would look?... Mmmm
