I dont know if this was posted. my luck it probably was but here we go

Six Flags Hurricane Harbor in the last Construction update said they are working hard to get it open for the memorial day weekend grand opening

Spring is just around the corner, but the cold weather isn't stopping the construction on Six Flags Hurricane Harbor! Construction crews are working diligently to get the park ready for the targeted Memorial Day weekend grand opening

Just thought i would let you know.
sorry if you already did my mistake

Well considering how the weather has been the last couple of years around here, hopefully its warm enough in may for the opening.

Yes, but too cold to open is getting rare come memorial day. It's the beggining of June, and the average temperatures are around 70.

Anyways, I wonder how much landscaping will be done by then? Not much planting can be done before May 1st.

I'll be sure to go. I might just go to the park and go on some rides, while most people will be in the waterpark.

I think this is proof enough of the snow we got over the weekend. I'm sure they're still hard at work, though!

well... SFGA does have it's own greenhouse...so maybe they will grow plants in there for HH. Either that or get a nursery to bring some in.

Most definatly they will bring them in from nusersys. But you cant plant until the last frost and that happens on occaision during mid May. When the park opens, the trees barely have leaves on them. S:UF didn't have any landscaping when It openend so I don't expect HH to have much either.

I get the feeling alot of the landscaping will be plastic :)

As Douglas fir doesnt exactly fit in well with a carribean theme, at least not as good as palm trees :)

(though I do realize there will be plenty of bushes, tropical looking trees and whatnot in the background)

They will probably have a few fake palm trees, like neer the boat in front of the wave pool.

It would look really stupid in my opinion if they didnt have at least a few palm trees (fake or real) i mean, why have a carribian(sp?) themed waterpark and no trees?

Well, they have done a good job with cleaning the park up and doing good landscaping over the last year, so Im sure theyll do fine for making the theme seem fitting
