Ice Mountain Splash

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

Safety is a big part of it.

The boats can in rare circumstances collide at the merging of the two chutes. The first incident may have been decades ago at Magic Mountain, but I couldn't find anything on Ride Accidents to back it up.

You also can't forget the accident on White Water Landing at Cedar Point so it isn't just Magic Mountain.

If Magic Mountain had the funds they would get everything up to speed. It's not like they sit there and shut down rides on purpose. The park manager doesn't wake up every morning and go "Hmm, I wonder how we can piss off patrons today?"

Hrmm, I dont know with Del Holland (he's a real piece of work) :)

But yeah, a good part of their problems spur from budget issues (though inept management does play a role)

Lazy isn't the word. Poor decision making is more like it.

The best thing to do on either IMS or LR is to go in the front row and tell your friends behind you to duck down at the bottom. So that the person in the way back gets soaked and mad. You have a point though DejavuTheRide, I don't think they want to spend the money and time taking out two nice water rides.
