Impulse Coaster Costs????

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

Dosent anyone think that Intamin is charging alot for their impulse coaster?
The track length of steel is so short, it's not even a completed track figure. You would think that the magnets would be cheaper because it uses less power. I just think its wierd that Superman- The Ultimate Flight was cheaper than V2. One other question, do V2s magnets ever run out of power?

The power and the LIM technology is what costs so much. If I'm right, the magnets are what cost the most on the whole ride. And they use a lot of power, they're not your everyday magnets. When an electric current runs though them thats what triggers them, so I don't think they run out of power.

I'm pretty sure I'm right about this, could be wrong though.

*Intamin Impulse

RCDB states that Steel Venom cost $8,500,000 for Cedar Fair. Wicked Twister a taller and faster impulse was $9,000,000. Steel Venom is an exact clone of our Vertical Velocity so I'm expecting them to cost the same.

^ I think he was refering to Steel Venom at Valleyfair, in which case SV would be the clone.

Yes he is. There is another Steel Venom at Valleyfair in Minnesota but it opened after V2 did, though it probally cost the same.
