Regular or Scary?

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

My question to you is whether you like the regular season or Fright Fest better?

I seem to like the regular season better because of the lines. Some regular season days are also dreadful though. Another thing is that there are less rides open during Fright Fest. The three water rides, Trailblaizer, Sky Trek Tower, and this year Condor (before TP and ERC) are closed during Fright Fest.

Of course FF has the great shows, decorations, and a different feeling. Out of 100 percent liking I would give the Regular Season 70 and Fright Fest 30. Don't get me wrong, I love FF, but the ride lines are a little more important.

So, please say what you think.

I like the regular season about as much as Fright Fest. I like FF because it gives you a chance to see the park in a whole different way.

It was so weird walking into FF last year and seeing the Carousel behind all of the fog, the blood pond, and the torches. Also there not being any flowers, leaves, or happy music around the park is pretty different.
Finally Coaster Season!!

I like the regular season best. I'm not exactly sure why, but I know one reason is cause it's not the last month of the operating season.

I like any day at GA, especially ones with short lines. FF is much funner, but the lines are a bit annoying.
How much longer can I last until Opening Day! ARRRRGH!

Unlike most that post at this site, I am less of a ride fanatic than I am a lover of theatre and halloween.
FF all the way.
There's always a juggling show during fright fest, my favorite things are halloween, theatre, juggling, coasters/rides, and DDR. During fright fest I can have all of them.
I was born on friday the 13th, what can I say.

I always think of this questions and I can never choose between the two. Regular season, Fright Fest. Fright Fest, Regular season. It's Great America so it's always great to me.

I like the regular season for the lines, but FF for the actors and the scenery (Obviously).

They are such polar opposites that I actually like them somewhatly equally.

The regular season has such a happy atmosphere and it all focused on the guest having a good enjoyable time. Fright Fest is based with scary music and is focused on scaring the living poop out of the guests.

EDIT- Also I've realized that when I'm there during the regular season I'm trying to get as many rides as possible in, during Fright Fest it's all about having fun. I probably only got on 15 rides yesterday but it was still the best day at the park in awhile.

Regular, although I would have to say they are really close. I love the creatures the theme of the park and especially terror twister.

I like the regular season more because all the rides are usually open, however, one thing is that they need to have Terror Twister all year long.

If you don't like long lines for rides during FF, get out to the park on a friday night. You can get some serious riding in with little to no waits.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

I love it all year around. I have a season pass, so does my son and his girlfriend who all work at FF. I couldn't begin to tell you how many times we have been there this year. Many would be a good start.

Of course I love FF more because I get to work it but I can't really compare the two seasons because one of them I am working and the other I am visiting.

Both good times!
