Best Trip To SFGAm???

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

When was you best trip to SFGAm this year and in the last years? I know that i have had a few this year and a few last year. It's hard to forget the really good trips and the really bad trips.

My best trip this year: Labor Day with Dejavu The Ride; barely any rides. Second dispatch of the day for raging bull, and 31 rides in all.

Worst trip this year: None were really bad. The lines haven't gotten that bad this year for me. But the worst was after my last trip in august because as we were leaving the park i found out bad news.

Best trip ever: November 1st 2003; barely any lines and got on our own train for eagle red with my cousin. NO one was on eagle red except for us, and my cousin went in the front row and i went in back. We called eatch other on our cell phone during the whole ride, because it was pouring and he got alot of rain in his face in the front row. Jeff knows how it is. LOL.

Worst trip ever: Sometime in 2001. It was the last day of the 600 minute reading club and i went with my aunt and uncle. The line for Raging Bull was an hour and a half, so we got about 100 $ worth of fastlanes for 4 people. No really a good idea, V2 was down, and the only main rides we could use fastlanes on were the water rides, raging bull, giant drop, iron wolf, and batman the ride. There was a 20 minute wait to use your fastlane at raging bull, and giant drop, so it was a stupid idea. i felt stupid waiting 10 minutes to use a fastlane for a water ride. Overall we got on 10 or so rides total and two fastlane cards left.

I havnt had a great trip in a long time. The best for me are last year's fright fest at night, and the 2001 season when it was never crowded and i could walk on shockwave 6 rides a day. Those were by far my best memories.

O yea and I cant forget about last blast. Forget the temperatures. You basically got to see the park after they took all the fright fest fecorations down and you were the only ones in the park. Walk ons for every ride, and 1/2 priced food. I got a ton of fudge in trudys, and a funnel cake sundae in orleans place.

Ah man, I don't know. I've had so many great days there, can't choose just one.

9/19/04 - 25 or 26 rides total, awesome day especially in the morning
7/13/04- Got on 32 rides
5/1/04- 32 rides also.. great day

Those were some of my best days there. My favorite memories from past years are when I went in August of 2000, July 14th, 2001, and August 2001. Those were the days I got into coasters... Oh yeah, and June 12th 2002, my first ride on DEJA VU :)

My worst day, well, I've never had a bad day at SFGAm. Sure, I've had my moments there where it's like "ugh don't wanna be here anymore" but none were really bad. Worst day would have to be July 27th 2004, only because of the major crowds and only got on 6 rides. Although I did have a great time there at the same time.

Ride Wise:
11/2/03.(We all know why.)

Fun wise:
Labor Day(2004) with SixFlagsGuy5. It was a lot of fun to hang out with new people instead of my stubborn friends.

The best days I've ever had at GAm in terms of rides and fun, was
Nov 2nd, 2003: Tons and tons of rides, rain, Fright Fest, and my first ride on DV. It was one of the greatest times I've had at Six Flags(except for loosing my keys)
and May 1st, 2004: Another ride filled, empty day!

Worst in terms of crowds was my eighth grade trip in June 1999. It was my first time ever at GAm, and I only got on five rides!(Demon, Splashwater Falls, Sky Trek Tower, Whizzer, and 'Yankee Clipper')

The best days are when you're with your best friends and the weather is horrible. It sucks while its happening, but in the end you have even more fun than if the rides were actualy open. the next best days are when everyone is gone and the park is empty for you to go from walk on to walk on.

Best Trip: Sometime this year, don't remember the date though...

Worst Trip: Father's day this year. It was waaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy to crowded. We only got five rides in, and that was with fast pass.

And then we used fast past on V2 but we still had to wait forever. My brother and I chose this one row thinking it was the shortest(even though it was still long) and it ended up taking 5 times longer than it should have. Because the "handicap" people kept getting allowed to go in front of us. And the funny thing is that only one person out of alllll these people actually looked handicap. (had to use crutches) I'm guessing he had a huge party with him because when we finally got through the exit there was still a huge line of people. My brother and I were really pissed.

My best trip ever was in June of 2000. I remember it distinctly. I went with one friend, and the Bull was a WALK-ON all day long. We got over 25 rides on it. The Eagle was also a walk-on and we rode that many times without getting off on both sides. Good times. We also had a great time on shockwave (also a walk-on) and Viper (walk-on as well). I think we got over 60 total coaster rides throughout the day. This was before Deja Vu and V2 were built, but man did we have a blast. Needless to say Batman and IW were also walk-ons. We ended the day with five consecutive night rides on the front car of the Bull. That was by far the most fun I had ever had at GA.

5. Raging Bull

Even though the park closed early the best trip I can remember was earlier this Spring. It was kind of a rainy/stormy day and there was no one in the park. Everything was a walk-on.

It had rained early in the day but quit by park opening and the forecast was for more storms later which kept people away.

The place was so empty that they closed the park early and gave everyone (even SP holders) a free admission ticket for later in the season.

Even with the early closing we rode everything over and over with virtually no lines. The ride ops on some of the coasters just let us switch seats (if no one was waiting) and keep riding.

The decision to close early was a good one too as it stormed like crazy later on.

I'm going with my cousin on columbus day, and its usually pretty empty on columbus day, and he's just as stupid/fun as my friend. If u wanna go private message me.

I also forgot the years before 2003 were usually bad because i always went with my family and going with your whole family is really boring.

2 trips this year have been amazing.

First trip, got on 72 rides with the park hours only being 10-6 at the beginning of the season. Everything was a walk-on, i dont remember the date.

Second trip was the "Freakin Fantastic Friday Fun Fiesta" (Timmy) when I got 66 rides and 50 rides on Demon.

I haven't been to the park much this year so I don't have a stand out "best" visit really.

Last year though I got to the park after this huge downpour and I got 30 rides like 3.5 hours on this one day in July it was amazing.

My best day ever at SfGaM was probally in August on one of those 10-6 days when I went on every ride in the park.(This was in 1998 so it wasn't as hard as it might seem not to mention alot of flats were closed.)
