Hey I got some new news on the nearby indoor waterpark from the Gurnee review.

The hotel is to be called Majestic Springs and have a mediteranean theme. it will sit on 30 acres, 20 of which used to be owned by auto nation. Its going to have 410 rooms costing aroun $245 a night. The hotel will have a world class resteraunt with key west quizine, and ice cream parlor, spa and fitness center, indoor arcade and play area, and an outdoor pool.
The indoor waterpark was designed by the same people who designed Atlantis in the Bahamas and will have a 66,000 square foot atrium with a 111 foot tall slide tower inside (BEATING OUT SFWOA FOR HAVING THE TALLEST SLIDE COMPLEX IN THE WORLD). The parks also going to have a lazy river. The hotel will have th biggest conference center north of chicago and it will be 26,000 square feet and have a 12,000 square foot ballroom. The conference center will have a rock climbing wall in it too.
Nearby neighbors ar fighting the resort because of the lights coming out of its glass atrium. The hotel will only be 50-60 feet tll, but the glass atrium will be over 110 feet tall. There also concerned about trafficand noise, which is stupid because only people staying at the hotel can go, its indoor, and it closes at 7 oclock.
