SFGAM has a Coasters after Dark night coming up on July 21 which i plan on attending.
So how was the first one in June???? Were all the coasters running and were they running at capacity??? Were any flat rides or Giant Drop open??? Any food/soda stands open?? How long were the wait times on the rides??? Overall what were your thoughts on the 2hr ride time for seasonpassholders??? Did they give out armbands and have you wait in a special area till the non-seaspassholders left the park???
-Pretty much all of the coasters were open on June 16th, except for Vu.
-Giant Drop was open, I don't think any other flats were.
-Shops & food stands were open.
-Wait times were up to 40 minutes, maybe longer.
-I thought it was pretty cool... Could've been better, but overall it was awesome.
-No they did not. They asked to show your season pass whenever you entered a line for a ride.
Some of the shops were open, and the ones that were had I believe 25% off merchandise. On that day, it was more packed for the event than it was the 10 (or how many hours it was) hours prior to it. Giant Drop was the only flat open, but I don't believe Revolution was open that day, so they might have that open because it's a bigger flat.

Giant Drop was walk-on, Viper had a half-station wait, Batman started with one train(and a long wait) then went back to 2 where it became walk-on.
Superman was 20 minutes, Cajun had about a 45 minute wait and v2 had about a 25 minute line. Revolution and DejaVu were scheduled to be open but both were not operating on that day. Some shops, games, and food stands were open and all were 25% off. Most of the ops were very enthusiastic through the night and it was pretty fun.
All coasters were running at full capacity. I'm not sure how crowded it will be for this particular event. It could be busy(July crowds) or it can be dead(12 pm closing makes it late for a lot of people).

Why do you say that it could have been better what was wrong with it?
Nothing in particular, I just didn't like it quite as much as I thought I would. Probably because I expected walk-ons for pretty much every coaster. I wasn't surprised at the crowds though. If I had gotten to the park earlier, I probably would have had more of a good time.
I thought it could have been better, I was hoping to get on more rides that night. It was just too crowded, more crowded than expected (it seems like everyone there that day upgraded their tickets to season passes)
Universal Orlando Mechanical Engineer Marathon down, Goofy to go.
I think the big crowds at night had mostly to do with the shutting of most of the flats and D Vu not open.
These rides were closed: 1. Trailblaizer 2. Fiddler's Fling 3. River Rocker 4. Rue le Dodge 5. Revolution 6. Carousel 7. Ricochet 8. Logger's Run 9. Triple Play 10. Condor 11. King Chaos 12. Whirlgig 13. East River Crawler 14. Big Easy Balloons 15. Chubasco 16. Roaring Rapids 17. IMS 18. SSA 19. The Orbit 20. Cars (Antique) 21. Splash Water Falls 22. Jester's Wild Ride 23. Hometown Fun Machine 24. Sky Trek Tower
25. Scenic Railway
I think that's it. If there were only 10 people (low I know, easy to calculate) on the flats the whole day, that means 250 people were "moved" to the roller coasters or Giant Drop. So, that's why it's so crowded. This year this can't be changed for all rides after dark because it's called C.A.D., but that would be great if that could happen in the years to come.

July 21st, regular time 10a.m.-10 p.m. C.A.D. 10-12a.m.
Aug 11, regular time 10 a.m.-10 p.m. C.A.D. 10-12a.m.
Sky Trek Tower was not open for first event. I'm pretty sure that they would take the season pass from any park, but the best bet is to call. If you could get in with it, aren't you considered a season pass holder.
I think a bunch of people would ride them at night including me.

I wasn't there for the first one, so I'm not sure how closely they look at season passes. Most, if not all Six Flags use the green passes, so the only way they could really check is to look for the "Great America" printed underneath the logo, I doubt they were. You could probably get in with any Six Flags pass.
For the first C.A.D. that I was at, it wasn't that crowded during the day. I went on V2 5 or 6 times during the first half hour. D Vu was closed though. I went on quite a bit that day before C.A.D. even started. The mosquitos were terrible for the event though. It wasn't until 7:00 that the "C.A.D people" arrived because it was getting more crowded.
