Eagle?

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

When i was on the front row of the red side of Eagle i noticed these weird things on both sides of the track. Heres a picture of them. http://www.rcdb.com/installationgallery9.htm?Picture=1 What are those and what are they for?

They are brackets for the brakes that used to be there when the Eagle opened.

Ok... wow... Really pointless posting here....

Yes, those brackets were for brakes to even the racing of the trains, to help make it a fair race.. i.e. one is not going down the hill before the other.

Too bad now its not functioning anymore.

I've noticed they tried to race them lately. I think they should put the brakes back.

For most racing coasters they have those functional. They are also on most dueling coasters, for obvious reasons.
