Which Season is better?

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

Which season do you guys like the best of Six Flags. Personally I think they get better every year. I think when Marriott first owned Great America it used all of the stuff. I still like new seasons and get better.

Like you said, I think it gets better every year, even if there are no new rides.

This season didn't brighten my eyes as much as last years when we got SUF or the year D Vu and V2 were put up. I had ridden SUF a year before at Georgia, and I said to myself "We need this ride." So, I was thrilled SFGAm put one in.

The best ride I like this year is the balloons. Of course, the whole BTR thing kind of bugs me this year.

All of them except King Chaos. It wasn't open. People said that's not too good. Revolution (so-so ride), Jester's Wild Ride (once and now skip), and RC (once and now skip).

Yep, it's just my opinion.

My favorite rides this year so far are Rajun Cajun, Revolution, and King Chaos. Jesters Wild Ride needs to be replaced and balloons are good for kids.

I think this season was off to a great start, even though they couldn't have Mardi Gras up and running right away; it's just a lesson to learn from. Now they have some type of idea if they add something to that extent ever again.

However, I think Vu made up for the mardi gras set-back in May

Ride Wise- Well, I hand it to Tim Black/ upper management for creating yet another children/family area. Are the rides that intense? No, but when the press release first came out, I really didn't expect there to be much with heart-pounding thrills.

I have a feeling, this is only the beginning for what Black has up his sleeves for this park. Just look at how GAdv is park-wise, so I'm pretty sure we can expect a excellent effort in our upper management come 2-3 years down the road for our next "thrilling" attraction...

Who's Tim Black? Also whos the owner of Six Flags Great America? Yea this season has a good start. No complaints. But I have to say 2002 was a good season but not my favorite because there were no rides.. And thats still good because they did a good job for no new rides that season.

Well I'm glad they brought them all back in time for the 2003 season. Only messing  , and I guess it wouldn't be a great season if they didn't have any rides. Well wait there wouldn't be a season...hmmm

When I heard that we were going to get King Chaos, I was thrilled because I thought it would be Chance's Chaos. I hope that one of these years they do put one of them in. I look at Denver's map and they have both a King Chaos (which they call Shake, Rattle and Roll) and Chaos.

I noticed that a lot of SF's pattern themselves with rides. SFOG also had the Jester's Wild Ride and Balloons this year along with a Gotham City type ride of our swings. Quite of bit of SF's also have a Giant Drop, Denver has a Triple Play, Orbit (StL, us, and SFKK) a rocking boat, (Denver, SFKK, us) and a rainbow (Trailblaizer, one in Kentucky, one similiar in S.L ). So, if you want to see what SFGAm might be getting next year, look at other SF parks.

2004. I've been to the park 12 times already and my record is 12 times the whole year. I hope to go 30 times this year.

The reason why they have the same rides is because its all Six Flags Theme Parks. Look at Batman. But some other theme parks take rides from SFGA and change it up a bit. Look at Magic Mountain, we had Ragin Bull first stole our attention and made Goliath. Exact tunel and everything. Also with shock wave which turned to viper and American Eagle. They just make it bigger.

Thank God you dont manage a park, but seriously, you coaster giddy Prebuscent kids need to see that we cant be showered with an "extreme" coaster every year. I personally loved this years addition, and mainly because coming into this season i didnt expect any changes. Mardis Gras Changes the fwhole feel of that side of the park, and its rediculous, and selfish to say "It didnt brighten your eyes".

I'm happy for all the people who enjoy all the new rides. That area was a dump before, and it's good they put something in it. I'm not "coaster giddy". I'm actually more "flat giddy". It just so happens that the last three coasters (not including this year) they put in, I like very much.

The year Batman was introduced was the start of some good things to come from SFGAm. That ride turned the park around and revolutionized the coaster industry.

I just looked at the map, and compared with the 2000 (the only one I didn't throw out) one, the rides look cooler. I do have to say that the swings look funny, the Hometown Fun machine looks like the Orbit, and the East River Crawler only has four arms. I do like that Triple Play now has three arms. I know, I like to nit pick at everything. (Now, I can imagine people getting there maps out.)

BTR's not yellow, maybe they will repaint it. Just Kidding

I was never too excited about the Mardi Gras section. It is a bunch of carnival type rides. Revolution was kind of boring too. I thought it would be much a better ride.

I have to agree with you on that. I really like all the new additions this year, but they still don't amount to something like SUF.
