This is just a heads up to you southern people (like me) who take I-294 to get to SFGAm there is a huge speed trap in Franklyn Park about 5 miles near O'hare. Sunday i saw 2 cars get pulled over and then Yesterday Tuesday i saw another set of 2 cars get pulled over.

This should be taken as a word of caution to anyone whose driving in the vicinity of Ohare Airport on I-294.

I take 57 to 80 to 294, so im always passing there...

Past few times ive drove to the park, Ive seen more cars being pulled over at night then during the day which I thought was really odd.

Thanks for heads up!

I'm not sure if they are there anymore, but the past 3 times I've got down I-94 (from Milwaukee) I've seen a total of 9 cops/undercover cops that were mostly located in Kenosha County, be careful around there too.

They had sometime on the news about that speed trap right in Kenosha. It is Wisconsin police pulling over women from Illinois and ticketing them. I don't know why they are singeling out only Illinois plates. It sucks because I still go to Racine all of the time so I have to be careful.

LoL, yes we are singling out ONLY Illinois women.

It's not that we single you out, it's because you drive faster than everybody else. J/K

Actually of the cars I've seen pulled over, most were from WI.

No seriously that's what they said on the news.. I know it sounds funny but Channel 5 news did a whole segment on it about how they are siginaling out women. I have been pulled over 3 or 4 times in Wisconsin and let go with warnings EVERY time. I was pulled over twice in Illinois and given tickets BOTH times! I guess my charm only works with Wisconsin cops

Well, the reason they target out of state drivers is because they are most likely to pay there tickets either on the spot or mail it in, and not worry about going to court about it. ;)

UPDATE:

Yet another car was pulled over this afternoon in this same stretch of I-294.

The exact location is as follows:

Interstate 294 from about the area you see the Cedar Point Billboard to the Ohare Toll booth.

This would be Northlake to O'Hare/Des Planes.
