I realize that everyone loves slow days at the park, with all the awesome rerides they bring, however, I feel compelled to point out the fallacy in desiring the park to be "like this all summer," as I have been seeing now and then pop up on this board. Although you might not like waiting in lines, do you think our park would get all the awesome stuff it does every year if we were not one of the top-performing parks in the chain (meaning attendance-wise). Keep in mind that we got SIX new rides this year! If the park is dead this summer, what are the odds of getting a new coaster next year? Or the next?
Bottom line: Bring your firends, have them bring their friends, and so on. Pump up those lines. That is the way that our park will continue getting star treatment!
I like to roam through the park on slow/semi-slow days when the weather is cloudy and cool and no rain was coming down. I guess exploring the park in this kind of weather is part of my ascribed status.
I also think that our park needs to have heavy crowds this summer if we expect to have really cool coasters in the seasons to come.... but i think also that its nice to go on a day when the park is dead.
Yeah the second saturday was pretty busy for a day in may. On may 1st there were no lines. So my point is that any nice days will have lines. No one wants to go to an amusement park in the rain unless they have a season pass or love coasters that much.
