The park already has misters. The Cool Zone in Southwest Territory and underneath the bridge by Orleans Place/Mardi Gras.

The mister debate is taking place in the SFGAm Improvements thread. After seeing the new covers today, the may be for shade, but I still think that they are there to block any items that may fall off the ride and shade the line.

If they were for puke don't you think they would cover the entire line around that point for the queue? They are for shade, people asked the park answered. It's not like those were the only spots people puked from Raging Bull so they just put the shades there...

Then why didn't they put a BIG shade thing in the switchbacks? That's where the line would have gotten hottest, once your out of there it's pretty quick to get into the station.

possibly because the switch backs aren't used anymore. or at least not much anymore. I've never seen them open in recent years, though I admit that I don't go on the busier days such as the weekends.
I don't have a detonator; its on a timer.
A countdown timer?
No, a count-up timer. It goes from one to explode.

No, even on weekends, the switchbacks usually aren't open. Viper is now running its 8th year, so it's lost a lot of its crowd from when it was Southwest Territory's premier coaster.

They were open one summer day last year. I think it all depends how many people they can get crammed into the station. Or if they have somebody making sure the right amount of people go in at once...

They were open Saturday in the early afternoon. Also the ride was not using a grouper, for awhile it had the longest line in the park.

Also Giant Drop got cover over one of the queue houses (though I still wouldn't wait through it).

Do they have the roof on? I was only there on opening day when they had the posts done but unpainted.
