Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

Still think a Road Runner family launch coaster is cool.

Yeah no way we're getting a Snoopy kids area
Old Great America was better, however I hope just a bit of that charm comes back

The 7.31 announcement has nothing to do with the new ride announcement.

Many parks in the Six Flags chain have posted similar videos and it’s already been leaked they will an announce and MVP sale for 2026 passes where all gold and prestige passes will come with the all parks passport for free if bought between 7/31 and 9/1

Apparently at Kings Island, most Peanuts merch is 40% off, which could mean that Six Flags isn't planning on renewing their deal with Peanuts Worldwide after this year. Thus, our new land wouldn't be themed to Peanuts. Cedar Fair previously severely discounted their I-305 merch before their deal for that expired, so the same logic could apply here.

I haven't heard about sales like this going on at any other SF parks, so I doubt Peanuts is leaving for good unless SF can't comply with Peanuts Worldwide's conditions that are part of the deal.

Even then, i think it's best we have Looney Tunes anyways because of how much they have tied themselves to Great America

The rumor on Screamscape is the new kids themed area planned for 2026 might be delayed until 2027. He thinks Demon and other park improvements will be the focus for 2026 now.

This wouldn’t surprise me at all. They probably figure the 50th anniversary is enough of a selling point for the 2026 season. It’s too bad, though, because the current state the kids areas is not great.

Not a bad idea splitting it up. I would love to see Demon get a Warth treatment when it comes to theming as well as getting rid of those over the shoulder restraints. It's such a great ride, but the head banging with those over the shoulder restraints is what causes so many people to dislike it.

I find it a big shame, having a Looney Tunes kids area tied to the 50th is a perfect tie-in, as the characters have been at the park since the beginning

Hope at least a Looney Tunes Show and maybe a Parade? Also hoping they sell bricks for 2026.

Now that SF has created a relationship with Premier, I'm hoping for Demon to get the Loch Ness Monster treatment. I recently rode Mr. Freeze at SFStL over the summer, and I think those trains would be perfect on Demon.

If all the park received for its 50th Anniversary were new trains on Demon and some beautification improvements, I'd be content since American Eagle is now running both sides, albeit alternatively, which I'll take for the time being.

No trains will fix Demon's issues. The track profiling is just archaic.

The fact CGA's corkscrew is more smoother than ours is crazy

I like the idea of removing the OTRS and replacing with lap bars. I still enjoy riding the Demon and use it to pad my stats quite often!

Amazing watching this footage from 1998.

Those kids areas were packed and themed very well.

GreatAmericanFox, I remember mentioning to you in a previous post that there used to be a fountain outside of Strutters formerly Aunt Marthas. You can see it in this video at 18:12

The planned kids area being moved to 27 is because of a reduction in CapEx for 2026 after Sox Flags reported a $100M loss in Q2 causing a change in CEO

So whatever money that is being allocated is going to smaller things like park improvements and hopefully 50th anniversary stuff.

Several legacy CF parks had 50th anniversaries this year and didn’t seem to do much so we shall see.
