What's special about the diner burger? Just different ingredients or something else?

I tried it at Cedar Point, and I'm not exaggerating when I say it was probably the best plain burger I've ever tasted. I don't remember it having any toppings, but the burger was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The bun was soft while the burger wasn't raw or hard, so you could chew it easily.

Can't speak on how they compare to SFGAm's burgers in the past since I've never had them, but the new ones are pretty darn good.

Goliath just got stuck going up the lift. But they cleared it in less than 5 minutes!

Also as far as the queue goes, they planted some new trees. And it’s super quiet in the queue as well. Can’t even hear the park music either. Hopefully they get that sorted.

Can anyone confirm what is running one train operations?

I was hearing it's a capacity nightmare this year. I only remember X-Flight and Bull having two train in 2024.

From what I could tell the following coasters are running one train
Bull
X Flight
Maxx Force
Superman

Eagle is running two trains red side only. I think Goliath and Viper are running two trains as well.
Not sure about BTR.

Bulls yellow train is nearby but taken apart.

^this….bull 1 train ops hurts[emoji51] Red Train is on. I skipped most of the park today and only went on Viper, Eagle, v2, and justice league. Those 4 rides took me a solid hour. The times listed in app did not seem accurate. I think they had Maxx force at like 20 minutes, no chance that was right when the line was over flowing.

All the B&Ms are one train.

Viper and Eagle are 2.

Whizzer was testing today but from understanding, has not training or anything yet.

The B&Ms are behind because of Wrath.

Goliath was one train as well.

Fun Machine, Fling, Lobster all closed. Fling looks close to be ready. Lobster and Fun Machine are still not assembled.

Also don’t be fooled by lines spilling into midways. They didn’t open a lot of the queues. Goliaths back queues were never opened.

I’m surprised no one brought up the massive long line just to get into the park.

Security and ticket scan went smoothly. Just everyone arrived at once. Never seen that many people there that early.

Goliath was 2 trains but had some seats closed off.

Maxx Force was 2 trains.

Eagle Red side was 2 trains.

Batman and Raging Bull were 1 train.

I cannot confirm any other coaster. I saw Whizzer testing at around 5PM today. Also Demon most likely won’t open until Wrath of R is open. Lots of construction still ongoing.

Also, they still need to take the cover off the County Fair Games sign.

Viper looked like a long line each time I walked past so I skipped it.

Giant Drop had 5 or 6 cars running and that line got short after 5 PM!

They must have added Goliaths second train later because when I went past shortly around 11:30, Goliath only had one train.

Yeah I got into line for Goliath a little bit before 2PM. I made sure to look for the 2 trains or I wouldn’t have even bothered to ride it. Thought it was gonna be a quick wait and then one of the trains got stuck on the lift lol.

I learned from a maintenance guy a few years back that Goliath is VERY sensitive with the blocking. If the train is not properly/perfectly parked in station, the train on lift hill will stop.

Same. I mainly skipped one train rides except for Batman which I did close to open and was still walk on.

Batman looked the closest of the 4 B&Ms to being ready for its second train. It was obviously being worked on.

Whizzed was cycling today, so it appears that they should hopefully have that ready by next weekend.

One thing to remember is the park opened slightly earlier this year. It does bounce around but historically would be next weekend. They likely opted for the earlier open to capitalize on the Easter holiday.

Yes it was. Great to see it open from Day 1.

Also looks like they planned to open Sky Trek Tower because the cabin was down for the half the day but then never opened. It could have been a staffing thing but I did notice they installed the shade at Tower already.

Finally got onto Batman this year after all of the queue upgrades/restorations. Wow was really happy to see all of that. I rode Batman opening year and it’s cool to see it back to its former glory.

For the crashed police car, all of the additions are really cool. I don’t think there was ever a functioning street light before. For sure the orange props are new.

Some older pictures sourced from YouTube videos for context.

Also it didn’t look like the lights on top of the vehicle were working like they used to.

Image

One minor nitpick for me is that when you enter the tunnel, they used to play the sound effect of the fan spinning. They didn’t have that sound effect on yesterday. You could hear the Prince song or the music score playing. The dog barking effect was on when you enter the main switchback area though.

Here’s what the tunnel fan sound effect sounds like.

https://youtu.be/1cJAiZO4t3U?si=Ahmev03yh_SsO6uU

And finally after all these years they finally cleaned the dust on the ceiling once you start walking up the stairs. That dust was layering on thick for years. So was very happy to see that cleaned up yesterday. I think they forgot to replace one of the ceiling panels though as the catwalk and vents are exposed. Assuming this was done for access to rewire and install new stuff.

Overall I love what they’ve done! One of the best rides in the park still after 30 plus years!

I wonder if the titled sign is intentional or not

The danger sign? Possibly now but it looked straight before. The sign is different from the one in older videos so it was replaced recently.

Also seems the lights on top of the car look functioning better in videos. Maybe the sun was drowning them out when I was looking at them yesterday. The blue side looks good but red side not so much. Start at 10:05 in this video.
