Gurnee, IL - It’s an all or nothing battle for control of the universe in the new STARGATE SG·3000 ride at Six Flags Great America. The sci-fi action adventure motion simulation ride is based on the enormously popular STARGATE SG-1 television series. One hundred individual motion pods are computer programmed to tilt, bump, rock and jump in sync with the inter-galactic action film projected on a huge screen.
Park guests are recruited as shuttle crew members and launched on a dangerous mission to foil the diabolical Queen Satra, who has stolen the Gatekey, a mystical device that holds the code to every Stargate in the Universe. STARGATE SG·3000 is a spine-tingling ride through the Stargate to exotic alien landscapes, including the floating nature gardens of Planet X-777 and a sinister temple dominated by gigantic, Egyptian-like statues.
Looks like the old ride system is going to be removed. Read the 100 individual pods part. I wonder how much movement the new pods will have. Sounds like a fun ride.
so that wasn't a typo on the map...they really are keeping the SSA name. I wonder why. I mean, I know it will be easier for guests to find it with a name they are familiar with, but didn't they change the name for dino island?
I don't have a detonator; its on a timer.
A countdown timer?
No, a count-up timer. It goes from one to explode.
Would be nice if they got ride of those god awful Giovanola Simulator Benches, but I get the feeling that's more hyperbole than anything, as they may count each seat on the ride as a "pod"

I have found out from various people *cough*Dave*cough* That you are correct, I wonder where Individual came from row.... Wait, this is Six Flags math we're talking about...
yeah, with such a long bench, it's really hard to replicate exact motions of any sort, really all they are able to do is shake violently (especially on the ends of the benches, while in the middle you feel basically nothing at all), however the fall and landing in the water on Dino Island was probably as good as that simulator system can get in terms of realism.
