My sincerest apologies for the extraordinarily n00bish question.
I'll be headed to Fright Fest for the first time on the 26 of October, but this will also be my first time going alone with someone else but without a parent/driver to park their car. Is there a pedestrian entrance into the park and/or where is it and/or do I have to be dropped off in the parking lot?
All help is greatly appreciated.

There is a drop-off area off of Grand Avenue, across from the hotels. You just go in the normal gate like everyone does. Not sure if this is what you are asking for, but I hope this helped.
"Everyone, listen to me! These jerks killed Superboy. They've tried to kill us. Now they say they're going to tear this city apart. I say... like hell."
To add further detail, there is a sidewalk extending all the way out to Grand Avenue. This runs along the same road that leads to the parking tolls. SF would prefer that you walk from this road to the drop-off area (or, you know, be dropped off in that area), then walk in the designated walkway that runs along the Superman: Ultimate Flight fence. Following this path you shouldn't worry about being run over.
There is a drop off area in front of S:UF that cars can go into strictly for dropping off people for free (no parking charge/ no parking). If you do not want to have someone drive that far because of traffic, you can be dropped off by the Burger King and cross Grand and follow the sidewalks in. Do not try to park at BK and leave a car though...they do monitor the surrounding lots and tow from there if they see people getting out of the car and walking to GA. Not saying you were going to do that, just an FYI.
A guy got caught either in 2011 or 12 and got like a 1500.00 fine for parking there. There was more to the story too I think him and his gf even started a fight with a cop and pulled a gun or something. Anyone else remember what I am talking about?
^That does sound familiar; I thought they parked in the old Piggly Wiggly parking lot behind BK, came back to no car, and got violent with GPD after calling them. Can't find the article, though.
You can also get tossed out at the Washington St. entrance, adjacent to the American Eagle, if you don't want to deal with traffic - and don't mind the hike, of course.
