Six Flags makes deal for 5D Attractions in 2011

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

[quote] (11/23/09) It was confirmed at IAAPA that Six Flags has struck a deal with 5D International to build the first 5-D attraction to the US market in time for Six Flags’ big 50th anniversary celebration in 2011. To be honest, I’m not sure I know much about 5D International or their products, though I did try out the FlyBoard at IAAPA 2007 which was quite interesting as it was a stand-up solo simulator style experience. Given that Six Flags has a bunch of old simulator theaters at some of their parks (SFOT, SFDK, SDGAm, SFKK, etc…) sitting around, some open and some closed, this could be a plan to remodel them into something new./quote]
This was on screamscape, what do you guys think about this? A possibility that SSA will be replaced by not only a new coaster but also with a new simulator theater?

Interesting, but sounds like the SSA building wouldn't be going anywhere with an attraction like this, which would indicate Chang may be making a pit stop and NOT staying at our park. I really don't know though...

They have yet to announce any parks for this. I still firmly believe the only thing in SSA's future besides sitting is a buldozer and a dumpster.

I'm anxious to see if this is a Soarin' type ride, or a Spiderman type ride.

Little Dipper, glow in the park, Chang, and this? We are getting pampered! I believe it's going in the pictourium because the shows there since Marvin the Martian have all been absolute flops.

^ It never names a park, I highly doubt that whatever this is would be coming to us.

^^ I don't know it for sure, i'm stating my opinion. I probably should have read the first post again to refresh in my mind what I read yesterday. If this is coming to our home park, though, then we are getting soooo spoiled. We already have a lot of attractions

That was hilarious! Nice to see something not low brow come from college humor

Removal of SSA says that we have a 50% chance of getting one of these. Unless Pictorium gets the boot as well.
