Whats up with the platform under Raging Bull???

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

I just read a trip report that said the platfrom ( i would guess for maintence) was under the first drop of RB. It was their when the season ended and was wondering why it would still be there??? Any reason out there for this??

I think I know what your talking about...When i was there a few weeks ago it was under the lift hill and I assumed it was used to check the lift mechanisms.

Im surprised that it is still there!!!! I never saw it in its current location before the last regular weekend of the year. You would have thought by now it would be put somewhere else unless someone has noticed ongoing work by the first lift hill.

It appears they are doing some work on the lift hill. I do not know what they are doing but you can see ropes wrapped up hanging on the side of the Lift Hill Railing.

Maybe, they are going to replace the lift chain for next season. It might be showing some wear. If you think about it they probably haven't replaced it at all since the ride opened. Or they may just be performing some routine mateninence on it.
