two questions

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

I'm new here and I had two questions that have been pondering me the whole summer the first question is on SUF theres this part of track with one or two hole right next to each other and I was wondering why that is there? And the second question is about Iron Wolf on the straight part be for the drop into the corkscrew why is there a big chunk of track missing from the bottom of the track rails?

Trim brakes on Superman. Block brake on Iron Wolf. The block was never installed by choice of Great America to save money.

A furious storm once roared `cross the sea, catching ships in its path, helpless to flee. Instead of a certain and watery doom, the winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon!

^ And not installing the block brake on Iron Wolf was a wise choice because they stack almost constantly just with 2 trains

^However, it was also kind of a bad choice if it would have made the Corkscrew go more smoothly....

As for Superman, this may sound stupid, but IS there a trim there?!

I'm pretty sure there isn't...

I think the only one that has that is SFOG's.

There isn't a trim on our SUF. It can be added though.

Same with Iron Wolf. Should of been added... :?

^I agree. I almost wish they would install a trim there on Iron Wolf, but only if it would make the last half of the ride a bit less rough on the head.

Funny, I never thought I'd ever say that I wish a trim would be installed on a ride. :o
Finally Coaster Season!!

Wolf is fine the way it is. It has the perfect level of roughness. It's one of the only shoulder restraint coasters I know of that is rough, but not on the head.

^It's a brake in mid ride used to control the speed of the vehicle. Most roller coasters have them, such as Eagle before the big helix, Bull before the camera, etc.
