Oh come on, Bull isn't THAT trimmed, I mean I suppose we could do without them, but it's not like they ruin the ride or anything......

But I'm impressed w/ rides rather easily, so yeah.
Eh.......I got nothing.

Schultz is more specific, waving a Six Flags brochure in the air. “They’re celebrating a forty-fifth anniversary?” she asked incredulously. “What the hell is that? That makes even less sense than that ‘100 Years of Magic’ crap that Disney tried to cram down people’s throats a few years ago.”

Harsh. What's wrong with celebrating an anniversary? It's not like it did anything bad to her.

but usually 25, 50, 75 and 100 years are big. Making a big deal about 45 years is just a big publicity stunt.

A furious storm once roared `cross the sea, catching ships in its path, helpless to flee. Instead of a certain and watery doom, the winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon!

I agree, I was kind of talking about the Disney anniversary. It is a bit silly to make a big deal out of 45 years, I have to admit.

There making a big deal at 45, cant wait to see 50. Maybe they will pull a Disney 50 years and give us rides from other SF parks. :)

With our luck, 50 might just totally go unnoticed. You watch... one day Shapiro will be in a conference call, and he'll be like "Oh, yeah, I forgot... This is the 50th snniversary of SF. Too bad I made such a big deal out of the 45th...." J/K

That thing about Raging Bull is right. And I know this is off topic, but why is Raging Bull so trimmed. I mean, they trim it to where there is almost no airtime. If it wasn't trimmed, there would be airtime. It's not like it would be unsafe.

Because people like to keep the restraints higher than theyre supposed to and if the ride isnt trimmed you have a better chance of falling out.

By trimming it so hard, its wearing down the brakes, not the track.

The “Hundred Years Of Magic” was a pretty weak excuse for a promotion as well. Celebrating what would have been Walt’s 100th birthday was fine. But was he really making “magic” when he was 2 years old?

The 45th anniversary is weak for two reasons; it’s a completely useless number (why not celebrate the 40th year? Or the millionth elephant ear sold?), and it pretty much ensures that the 50th will pass with a whimper.

This is, of course, assuming that Six Flags is still operating theme parks in five years.
