with blockbuster, if you throw too hard, you'll only hit one block down, but throw over hand and sorta slowly making sure you hit the base and the bottom block together, causing all three to fall off...theres really no way to guarantee a win every time, its mostly luck with a little skill...
For the ladder, it does take practice, but the best way is stay centered on the ladder, and move opposing limbs at the same time. I.E. Move left arm and right leg, loosing then making contact with the ladder at the exact same time then right arm and left leg and try to keep body weight fairly even across all limbs at all times. That would be the best course of action. Also if the ladder starts to tip one way, dont follow your instincts and throw your body weight in the other direction which will just flip you, just be slow and steady.

I have a tip for another game. You know the game where you hit the thing, and the lights go up to the top. There is a big cyclinder light circle at the top. There is one in County Fair, one in Hometown Square, and there used to be one in Mardi Gras. Anyway, you need to have your hands far apart from each other on the stick. Most people have an instinct of putting there hands close to each other while whacking the metal thing. A carnival worker told me this. It's a strength game.
"I've been staring at the world, waiting. All the trouble and all the pain we're facing. Too much light to be livin' in the dark. Why waste time? We only got one life. Together we can be the CHANGE. So go and let your heart burn bright"
