New Ride?

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

When will Six Flags Great America put in a new ride. With Dan as CEO it will probuly be familly oriented (I want a BM floorless, a BM sitdown, or a Intamin Strata coaster).

I want something cool and different. Like totally outrageous and unexpected. If that happens, everyone will flock to the new ride and the old rides will be empty. :)

If you took the time to read any of his interviews or speeches you would know that he will not spend multi million dollars on a coaster. Which leads me to believe we will not see a new B&M or Intamin in any six flags park for a long time...

Lets just see what happens this year and the next! Yes, they may attract more family's that spend more but! who STILL makes up the majority of attendance, i see WAY more teens and young adults then KIDS and family's

eventually, its all gonna get boring, and people are gonna come less often, maybe stop getting season passes because us teens long for NEW, Thrilling Exciting!

Well, the Tornado happened this year. Next year im pretty sure nothing will happen. Then maybe in 2-3 years we may get a new ride or coaster.

Dan spent millions of dollars on El Toro and Tatsu. Why not spend more money on Great america?

First of all, Dan isn't making the decisions for the company. That would be Mark Shapiro.

Second of all, Shapiro had nothing to do with El Toro, Tatsu, or both Goliaths. They were planned to be installed before Snyder took over the board.

I would judge how Shapiro spends his money on the upcoming offseason.

As mschulz5 said, The new management didn’t spend a dime on those coasters. The money for those coasters were already long gone when they started. Burke and company had already purchased those prior to the takeover. It takes years to plan out a coaster, fabricate the track and supports and trains for them. As Shapiro said “If these coasters were not ½ way done when we took over they would’ve been dismantled and returned!”
