These train rehabs should have done along before the season opened!!!
Off season (which is very long for a seasonal park like SFGAM) is when you take care of maintence issues like this, i hope the new group ruinning the park fixes these problems so next yeat ALL rides are up and running to full capacity when the season starts.
When you learn how to spell MAINTENANCE or any of the other words you misspelled then you might have an argument until then zip it!!!!

I bet your 13 years old.

13? Maybe his IQ, but for his age...I think you're giving him a little too much credit.

Yeah I didn't get a feeling like it would be a rough ride. Not sure what's happening with everyone else.

I find that if you put your head foward during the parts you'd normal get banged around, you'll be fine :D

Sorry about the spelling mistakes on a earlier post, as i made the post just before going to sleep after a 10 hr work day keeping my city safe and not proofreading it before i hit the submit button.
As for zipping it, that will NEVER happen!!!
And none of the above is an excuse for park management not having Iron Wolf up and running from day one of the season with both trains fully rehabbed and ready top go.
Of course some will be an apologist for anything the park does, isnt that right galvan316.

A ride operator heard me tell my friends and he said the rest of the trains are getting new harnesses this year too. I dont know if the other trains are getting rehabbed or just a harness replacement.

When you say that Raging Bull got new restraints, do you mean they don't have the mushroom harnesses anymore? Or is it the identical vehicle just with new pieces replacing old ones.

As far as people either liking or hating Iron Wolf, it depends on how your built (which is different for each and every individual), how you ride it, and what you like in coasters. Therefore, all of your opinions are right and not worth arguing over. I, personally, hate the darn thing. Now, what we can all agree on is that the vehicles could use a nice rehab and it's nice to say that happening!

For a 16 year old, first of ITS kind, high maintenance roller coaster, that was arguably rougher when it was first installed than it is now...

My memory is a bit foggy (could be the result of one too many rides on Iron Wolf over the years ;)), but I recall it being a heck of a lot smoother way back when it opened. I could be wrong on this though.

Regarding the claim brought up elsewhere in this thread that it's a great ride and that people need to "learn how to ride it..." It is my belief that *any* ride that you have to force yourself to ride in a specific manner (be it standing on your toes, pushing your body directly outward or directly up, etc.) in order to try to get a non-abusive ride can never be a great ride. Great rides are rides that you can just let go and let the ride take you where it wants you to go. Rides that you can't just let go on (like Iron Wolf, in my opinion) and have to try to ride in a certain way in order to avoid pain during the entire ride, at least for me, takes away from the riding experience. These types of rides can be fun (if you don't get beat up :)), but never great.

Also, I must agree that this is the type of work that should be done in the off-season. If there wasn't enough time to do it this off-season, it should have waited until the next off-season to be done. Removing one train on the ride as we head into the heart of the summer is not a very good idea in my opinion - even if it is only for a few days or for a week. Granted, if this *was* an emeregency for one reason or another, I of course understand why they're doing this now. I would also understand them doing this now if the park doesn't employ enough maintenance people in order to get all the work done in the offseason, and hence they must do stuff like this in-season. However, if it isn't an emerengecy and there will be time and enough people to do it in the off-season...why couldn't it have waited until Nov-March?

^ I totally agree with you on that.

And Iron Wolf is a super rough ride. It is extremely painful. One time I took tylenol after riding it because my head hurt so bad.

I guess they could've been scheduling to rehab the Iron Wolf train over the offseason, but a few unforeseen circumstances (i.e. Triple Play's removal) could've prevented the maintenance staff from having time to complete the rehab.

Then again, I could be completely wrong.

Thats a different zone completely. But you can trace back the reason for the delay back to the person who ordered it. As Mr. Shapiro said about El Toro not opening on time "It was ordered 3+ months too late".

I'm getting a little off topic here, but I found Mantis to be far smoother and more enjoyable than Iron Wolf. I like Iron Wolf, but I rarely get off the ride and want to go again right away. The course is extremely compact which causes head banging for myself. Mantis on the other hand was extremely smooth and well laid out with large sweeping inversions and turns. I think I actually liked Mantis better than both Iron Wolf and Riddler's Revenge.
