Is it lame to go by yourself to six flags?

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

My kids are almost always with us. The Whizzer is about the only coaster they can go on, with the exception of Spacely's, so when I ride the coasters, I am always by myself. :( When I went to Kennywood last year, being a single rider blew when I had to wait almost 20 minutes for another single rider to ride Thunderbolt.
If it walks like socialist, quacks like socialist, smells like a socialist, .... it's a socialist. Hope, and change we can believe in.

^Yeah, I had that same problem at the carnival in our town last summer. I couldn't ride any of the rides alone and i stopped there after work so I was alone. That sucked!! It was the first time i didn't like being around rides alone. I had to ride with a kid I had taught CCD since there was no other way to get one.
RIP: Trailblazer and Deja Vu...heck, even Alien Encounter :(

I go by myself all the time. However, I plan on meeting up with a few friends each time. We always go the same days.

That happened to me on May 13th. However it was 8:00pm and they had to go and so did I so they didnt stay with me all day. Its a long story so PM me if anyone wants to know it.

See Stickmassacre, its not lame going by yourself. You get to call the shots and ride whatever you want whenever you want. Also, you can pick up girls. I love going by myself!
It's green. It's blue. It's all over you! Enjoy your ride on Déjà Vu

Yesterday, I rode GD by myself...... not that fun.

Your going to see everybody at the park having fun with their girlfriends or friends and your going to be by yourself either on the phone or listening to music. You dont want to be like those old people that go up to anybody and start talking to strangers and having a complete conversation with them when they dont even want to talk to you. If you got to go for a quick visit to lets say buy something or like get your picture taken then its straight but going by yourself for the whole day is pretty lame.

It is not lame. And during Opening Weekend, and most of May, there are barely any lines anyway, so you don't really have to worry about who to talk to. Not to mention the fact that that most intelligent people with imaginations don't need someone to talk to 24/7 anyway.

And when people here talk about going alone and meeting with other people, it's other ride enthusiasts, who are most definitely different from the GP (that's General Public for those not in the know.) So when you see someone you know that goes on these forums, they're usually on the same wavelength as you.

And who would go to Six Flags just to buy something, get their picture taken, and then leave? THAT's lame.

And when you go alone, you don't have to worry about what rides your friends are afraid of or don't want to go on. You go on what you want, where you want, when you want. You get on rides faster because you don't have to worry about fitting your whole group into one coaster ride.

In conclusion, it is NOT lame. It's simply an alternative way of enjoying the park we love.
