So, they did make it widespread this year unless someone can conclude that this is untrue. If this is also the first year you have heard it throughout the park (not just in Carousel Plaza), please post.
No wonder I never heard this before. I was always on rides when the park closed. If this is true, that is the first time it's been widespread, wouldn't it make sense to have a "different" song to close out the day and thus the workers would know to shut down the rides? This is a smart thing.

hmmm, I never noticed that the song the park opens to is the same that it closes to. I guess I haven't given it much thought, besides in the morning I'm to busy being excited that I really don't notice it until now.
We Like To Party- Plays in the commercial, in Six Flags Party, and on the midways at :15 and :45.
Six Flags Party- Plays in Six Flags Party at 10, 11, 12, 1, 2:30, and not sure after that.
Carousel Song- Plays in front of Columbia at 9:30 (if they get it to work), it's right after the National Anthem. It used to play at 10 but they changed it this year. Also plays exactly at park closing time.

HAHA there are two songs after the park closes...on eis Carousel but the other one its called "Happy Trails".........
Happy trails to you, until we meet again.
Happy trails to you, keep smilin' until then.
Who cares about the clouds when we're together?
Just sing a song and bring the sunny weather.
Happy trails to you, 'till we meet again.
Some trails are happy ones,
Others are blue.
It's the way you ride the trail that counts,
Here's a happy one for you.

The song may be fit in Southwest Territory, but it never played there. It used to be the ending of the Looney Tunes National Park soundtrack until they added more Bugs Bunny content inside and finally closed it off with some cheesy dance medley of Beethoven's Fur Elise and First Symphony. Maybe they should bring back the old Bugs Bunny Land soundtrack and add that with the rest, and put more rides or playland there.
R.I.P. Splashwater Falls and Space Shuttle America. Deja Vu, enjoy Idaho.
Hear ye, hear ye: "After 45 years, Six Flags has stopped smoking."
It could be the one that they play on the parade. I don't hear a "disney song when I leave. They play a lot of Scott Joplin songs (the entertainer, mapleleaf rag, pineapple rag) They usually play those in Hometown square.

Hon, that's the Hometown Square soundtrack. The 'Disney Song' people mention is the Carousel Song that is played throughout the park every opening and closing. And that same Happy Trails heard too can be found on the CD 'The Looney West'. I hope that makes it clear.
And a simple word of respect to the above post: get a grip. The song is a Marriott-exclusive classic and should never, ever, ever be taken out of the park.
