Ok, i just got back from the park at it was awesome! One of the coolest things i saw was the justice league entrace. They had 5 fo them Superman, Wonder woman, Flash, Green Lantern, and one other who i forgot. Anyway, the park higherd (sp) pro skydivers do actualy jump out of a plane and sky dive into hometown square! IT was AWESOME!!!!
while it was nice, i thought it was rather cheezy, and it took forever. It was funny though because there was one single diver who was wayyy far from the other four, and i think i even heard others say that he hadn't even landed when the Justice League made their debut in Hometown Station
Although I wasn't there, i think it was a neat idea and i'm sure the younger viewers were pretty happy with it which would be the goal in Shapiro's eyes and mine too for that matter.
RIP: Trailblazer and Deja Vu...heck, even Alien Encounter
yeah, i think the younger kids probably liked it. They had two speakers from the entertainment department talking beforehand, and then they jumped. It took awhile, and that just kinda sucked.
It looked like the skydivers landed in the SFGAM parking lot or elsewhere. They did not land in the park. it would probably be too dangerous to land in the park thinking about it for both the characters and people.
They had the Justice Leauge characters behing the station then they came out.
I was in the parking lot eating lunch when they landed. One of them landed in the overflow parking lot, the other 4 landed behind the trees behind the overflow lot. I have no idea what's over there but there must have been a safe landing patch. There were a few people to help out the guy who landed in the parking lot, and they didn't seem concerned that the other ones went beyond the trees.
Yeah, the little ones probably thought that it was pretty cool, but I think that they just cheated.....you could still see one of the sky divers when they guy said "AND HERE THEY ARE, THE JUSTICE LEAGUE HAS LANDED AT SIX FLAGS!" then they came popping out of the train station. But it was still pretty creative though.
Welcome to ShockWave please pull your harness down as far as it will go. While riding ShockWave please keep your hands and feet inside the car, and your head against the headrest, please hold on to all loose articles, especially hats and glasses. Enjoy your ride!
Yeah it was a little cheesy but some of the kids look absolutely astounded by what they saw. I was quite impressed actually... it's a much better effort made then in years past
"Jesus saves... Moses gets the rebound... HE SHOOTS! HE SCORES!!!
I was amazed by the fact that they actually hired skydivers then the people who came out of the station were actually characters, very unlike Six Flags...
The Streetmosphere people are the best though.
Fabulous!

Six Flags Great America always has done some of the best marketing stunts. And have sometimes gone out of their way to make enthusiasts happy. Six Flags Great America is one of the best in the Six Flags chain. so do not be suprised if we pull fantastic stunts like this in the future.
^yes but I've never actually seen sfgam do anything like this before, so they probably didnt want to rush it and cause a problem

It was nice... for the kiddies. I thought it was a bit cheesy. From where I was, it seemed as though all 4 sky divers were way off, and then the Justice Leage jumped out way before any man could run from the landing area to the building (not to mention change clothes too)
I guess it was alright; I was able to get my season pass while everyone else was busy gaping at the sky
