A furious storm once roared `cross the sea, catching ships in its path, helpless to flee. Instead of a certain and watery doom, the winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon!

From Plainfield, take I-55. Route 132 intersects with I-55, and I-294 is only 15 miles from there. For me, I'd prolly take I-355, but I'm in Bolingbrook.

There are several options that you can take.

I live in Plainfield/Joliet as well, so Theres a number of options you can use.

for Weekday trips:

I used take I-55-NORTH to I-355 North, You can get off at either 88-East (Eisenhower Expressway)to 294 or, you can go the whole way north on 355 till it becomes Illinois Route 53(Your nowin the Schaumburg area)

From there you can hook up with 90 (Kennedy Expressway/Elgin O'hare) and then merge into 94 (youll be past Ohare at this time)

For Weekend Trips: I usually take I-55 NORTH to I-294 NORTH and then your fine.

The only construction that i know of, is on the Dan Ryan which is in the City and you dont want to be on that road anyway.

The Tri-state (294) is only under construction near the Tollway Sections for open road tolling.

If your really adventurous, you can also take 55 NORTH, and get off at Harlem ave. That will take you to Milwaukee which dumps you off behind the park. Use that route if you like getting stopped by stoplights/trains and over all enjoy being in the car.
