oh i'm so excited!!!! I've always been a person who has gone to the park to ride the rides and see the shows, so this year, it's sounds awesome. I really like the idea of Tribute to the Stars, since i hated Circo last year. The Toonite show looks fabulous too. The parades sound great too....any thoughts?

The Aludium Q36 explosive space modulator in 3D? I can't wait.
It's the most fun in the park when your laughing in the dark.
Those sound okay, I don't see them as a major improvements on what we already have though. I think the Tony Hawk show will help a lot, but I don't know about the rest.
What would be really nice is that laser night show that Cedar Point has. Why not just put it in Hometown Square. The screen would fit in front of the Scenic Railway station and they can remove the screen during the day so it doesn't change the scenery too much. They can use the Whizzer and train station for the fireworks and closing the Whizzer wouldn't be a big deal during show times because all of the kids would want to watch the show anyways. Just a suggestion.

not going to throw it out in the open, but I'll give a hint towards something new in 2006. Marvin the Martian in the 3'rd dimention that will be in the pictorium is only 12 mins in length.

Shapiro did hint during his tour that he wanted to turn the Pictorium into more of a sensory experience like a 4D (motion) or even 5D (motion, water effects, smells, etc.).
^That is completely unnecessary. If you have something to post, post it. If not don't make a post to tell us that you have information that you can't/won't tell us.
There are lots of things that people know about the park that hasnt happened yet and probably will. There are also some related to shows, which werent announced yet because they are still in planning. Dont go critizing other people's posts especially because it was somewhat related to previous posts. The Marvin the Martian thing would be great if they did do what it rumored, a great family addition.
Universal Orlando Mechanical Engineer Marathon down, Goofy to go.
Sounds like the same old same old!!!
They added a afternoon parade but if it is of the same quality of every parade with a couple cheap floats going on the same short circuit than it doesnt sound like any improvement. Now if each parade has at least 10 new floats and includes a full marching band etc with new music, then it will be a good improvement.
A fireworks show will be good if it is "at least 15-20 minutes" in length at a minimum and has alot of different styles of fireworks being shot off the whole time and ends with a major finale.
As for the shows, again it is the same old shows they always offer which are always medicore IMHO. If they are going to do the same old thing again, then bring back a new stunt show. Now if they added a decent musical show not based on just singing madonna/elvis songs etc, then thay could be good.
no need to critcize me, someone else said that two posts above me, and you didn't go jumping on them about it. I dont' have to disclose everything i know, because even i shouldn't probably know. Sorry i can't make you happy dude
Yeah, that's true. There will always be someone upset with the outcome. In this case though, i know at least for me, the negativity is more based off the fact that the shows aren't really all that different this year from last year. But that's okay, it won't give me that added pressure of avoiding a roller coaster ride for a show.

That's a pretty bad hint. Is it a show, or a ride? That would be a little better without giving anything away.

They have a bugs bunny show, a musical, a crowd engagement show involving music (the american idol show), Manny B and the Six Flags Party are returning, and both shows in Hurricane Harbor sound the same as last year. Pretty similar line up if you ask me. I was thinking that they might come up with something creative instead of the usual.
The only differences are the parades and night shows, which are improvements, and Marvin the Martian, which if it costs extra (i'm not sure) will not be much of a difference for most. Just my opinion though, others may disagree.

you're always going to have a bugs bunny like show, it's a six flags park, and now that it's towards kids, it's not going to die. the last thing that we had that was close to this " Tribute to the Stars" was "Radioactive" back in 2002. What sing along show did we have last year? All I remember was DJ Bob, and DJ Bob's beach thing in HH. Manny B attracted lots of people in the few years he's been there, and I've heard nothing but rave reviews about him. Why get rid of something that really works? Six Flags Party is going to be a bit different from what I've heard, but still, that show is pretty entertaining for people walking into the park (and people sitting in Firehouse pizza who want to run to the carousel to see it lol). Family shows people, if it works, then keep it. I know that I plan to see all the ones in the theaters, as well as i hope to catch the parades too. I think the lineup sounds pretty good. We can't all have entertainment like Six Flags Fiesta Texas.
What about our shows this year is similar? The only returning show from last year is Manny B, and Six Flasg Party
Pictorium, Nascar to Marvin- no similaries
Music Hall, Circo to Tribue- No simiarities
Parades, JJJ to Starlight and Block Party- Similar floats but probable new preshows
Mariachi Ameca- Back after several absent years
Manny B, returning- obvious
Great American Idol, in the place of jugglers- no similaries
The TOONite show, starring the looney tunes, don't know anything about it, but if you think every character show is the same, you clearly haven't seen Fantasmic.
Yeah, I don't see many similarities either. The Marvin 3D sounds good. The Great American Idol seems like its going to be fun, especially watching people make fools out of themselves. It is great to see Manny B back.

I'm going to take a stab at it, and say that they might have something related to the 30th anniversary such as a documentary before this Marvin the Martian show. It's a guess?

Okay, I didn't say that they were exactly the same, i said they were similar to things that Great America has had already before. I know it works, but when they said that there would be better entertainment, I was thinking it would be a little more creative. I have seen Rock'n Roll, Country, and Pop culture musicals at the Grand Music Hall so many times that I can't even remember. I have seen about three different Loony Tunes shows and they are all generally the same. Great American Idol is on the same stage that had DJ Bob just over a year ago and I can tell you that he has done karaoke on that stage before, I have even karaoked on that stage before. I like the shows, I'm not complaining about the shows, I just don't see a large difference that would make people choose the shows over the rides this year compared to any other year.
