Does anyone know if gam will be open early this year for private parties like last year? Or if they're doing any special events for season pass holders besides coasters after dark?

You mean early days for season passholders? (i.e. where passholders are admitted into the park at 9:00 am instead of 10:00 am)

I would like to see that in place of one Coasters After Dark session, just to mix it up a bit. For teens under 17, it would also help because of 11:00 pm curfew on Wednesday nights.

How about 1 "Coasters all day"

1 hour before park opens and 2 hours after...... wouldnt that be a long day of coasters. lol

That would be difficult for the park because they would have to have not only employees to run the rides but also maintenance to work that whole day
I can't stop thinking about you, but I still hate you!!

I'm sure they work shifts, so I don't think it would be a problem. It would be a lot easier to do a.m. instead of p.m. because of the ordinance that prohibits the park from operating rides after midnight. I believe that has been in place since the park opened in 1976.

^ You live in Rosemont. What is that, like 45 minutes tops?

I've been know to stay till 10-11 then drive 4.5 hours back home.
It's the most fun in the park when your laughing in the dark.

that's not too long of a drive back FDR. I used to have ride problems all the time before my friend got her liscense. If you really want to stay that long, then hopefully your ride will understand. if not, then i guess you're just screwed.

anyways, i don't know competely about private parties, but my human resources manager at work got a fax on wednesday from SFGAm about group ticket sales for the season.

According to nbc4.com, there are plans to keep the parks across the chain open longer. I'm really excited about this, I don't even go out with friends until after 9:00 pm on weekends (usually for food) so this should be fun!

Later nights would be great. It would also urge me, and other guests, to spend the night in town if its open later, and go back the next day.

midnight would sound nice during july but they should keep the park open longer than 9 during june like they did back in 1997-98.
