Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

The terminal velocity of a penny is 45-60 mph. A penny traveling at that speed would not even break the skin. I doubt a penny would even reach it's terminal velocity from 200 ft, but I'm not sure. Either way, a falling penny wouldn't hurt a small animal let alone a human.

Too bad many ride ops don't enforce this rule..

A furious storm once roared `cross the sea, catching ships in its path, helpless to flee. Instead of a certain and watery doom, the winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon!

There's no way short of a strip seach that they could stop people from bringing change and other small objects on to Giant Drop because they are just that, small objects, and there are just too many places to hide them (mouths, pockets in shoes 8) *is wearing kangaROOs right now*, ect). But like metioned above, those objects don't have enough mass compared to say, a video camera.
i'm rocking the suburbs, just like quiet riot did...

There is no reason why people can't resist the urge to throw something off a tower. Some of you guys aren't thinking about this the right way. It doesn't matter whether it would be deadly or just leave a bruise, it is unnecessary. There is no reason for anyone to put anyone in any type of harm and the rule is there to be followed not broken.

Thanks Tony, that's what I meant. It doesn't matter if it's a penny, next it'll be a rock someone finds in the queue. :|

You chose this pic to show how great our park is? There are so much better ones......
go 2 http://www.americacoasters.com for example and see a whole beautiful overview(which by the way you can use for a background) or go to screamscape.com and search up great america then go to the update in like september or something it states somethin like see the park in a whole different way or somethin'...go to those.....

^You can't even grasp how good it is from a video, let alone the picture so I don't think that is the point. I think v2guy13 just thought the picture was cool and gave a nice view of the park. The picture does make the landscape and such look better than the real thing.

I found out a way to sorta intensify Bull, well it might not be new, but still. On the first drop and on the other drops i raise my hands and my legs, it gives a great rush, but its not recommended for those with back problems.
I'm running to Bull on opening day, anyone gets in my way and they'll get trampled.

the thing i do, when u lift your legs when going down a drop, it creates some pressure in the back, its cool but some people may not feel the same, cause of back problems

If they have back problems, they shouldn't be riding. But there's already a topic about that, no need to bring it up again:

Quit being so uptight, i was just saying that people shouldn't try my "technique" if they got back problems, i wasnt getting into details. Someone always makes a big deal out of nothing

Another cool thing to try is to lean your head towards the lap bar when you are going over the first drop. It sort of feels like an inversion. 8) But don't rest your head ON the lap bar, that can hurt.

Try putting your arms out in front of you, Superman style, and keeping your head forward instead of up. It's almost impossible!

^You won't be disappointed, however, it does take away from the effect of the drop so if you are only going to ride it once in the day, don't do it.

What I will most likely do for my first ride of the season is put my hands and feet up.

All you need to do is sit on the outside and on all the inside turns, lean out of your seat in the direction of the turn to create an inversion. :D
