Roller coaster tcoon 2problem

For some reason, whenever I make a new rct2 track, It doesn't show on the track list. I have the file, but when I go to install the track it says "missing or unacceptable data file"

I know what ur talking about but im not sure whats wrong. Its probably your computer memory. Try using someone else's cd on ur computer and see if it works.

That's a problem, I downloaded this online because I was too lazy to go out and get it. I don't think it's legal to put the game on a CD either.
Memory may be an issue too, but I cleaned out my E drive and even deleted some of my old tracks.


EDIt: I zipped the tracks that I couldn't use. They both have 0MB of size.
what could this mean?

That ironic because my friend made a roller coaster on my game and it didn't come up on the design preview nor did the game let me put it in(all it said was "can't place ride here" it didn't even give a reason)

That's weird, I've never had that problem. I'm not sure what's wrong...
