SFGAm, 05/19: WOW, alot of things closed today.

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby Chitown on May 20th, 2005, 12:41 am
Had the day off today and decided to stop into the park around 1 for some power riding before picking my daughter up at 5 after she got out of school.

With the exception of a few busses, the lot was pretty empty. Rain threat was forecast all day also.

Enjoyed the few hours I was there as I got to power ride Batman, V2, Eagle, Viper , and Raging Bull.

Let me see if I can remember every ride that was shut down today. I know it's due to staffing but damn, it was alot.

1. Stargate 3000
2. Hometown Fun Machine
3. Deja Vu
4. Trailblazer
5. Great American Railroad
6. DareDevil Dive
7. American Eagle Backwards Blue
8. Jester's Wild Ride
9. Big Easy Balloons
10. Roaring Rapids
11. Logger's Run
12. Ice Mountain Splash
13. King Chaos (although it opened later on at about 3pm)
14. Condor (guess still in re-hab but the cars are back on)

15. A boatload of restaurants, games, and shops were closed also.

Well, thats about it but still a large amount.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

Hey Scott, good to see you around!

Yeah, Dave went last friday and he had the same issue with ride closures. I don't know if it is uncommon to see so many closures right now (I'm aware people are in school, I didn't know if this is more than normal for this time of year).

We went on 05/16/05 and i think it was worse!!!
At opening time EVERY flat ride was closed!!! The only non-roller coasters open at opening time were Sky Trek tower and Giant Drop. Also closed was Whizzer and DejaVue which remained closed all day.
Later in the day, after 100p-200p flat rides did begin to open, but with all these rides closed there was little for my daughter to do who is under 48" tall to do for a good portion of the day. Also the kids area's had little open so unless one wanted to ride roller coasters there was little to do and lines were longer than they should have been due to few options available
