SFGAm 5/16

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby DejaVuGurl1203 on May 16th, 2004, 10:40 pm
Left at 12:17 and got there at about 1:25. The parking lot was packed, so I expected long lines.

Headed straight over to Mardi Gras to check it out. I went on Jesters first - 2 minute wait. Neat ride. 6/10

Then I decided to try Big Easy Balloons. Three minute wait. 6/10

After that I headed toward BTR. The line wasn't bad, it was a 35 minute wait for the back row. Then I got on V2 front row in about 15 minutes with my fastlane. Had a great ride on that.

I headed toward Revolution after that, but I saw that IW's line wasn't bad so I went on that. 30 minute wait for back row, the line seemed to move really slowly. Went on AE blue with a 5-10 minute wait.

When I was walking past Deja Vu I noticed it was testing. I got in line, and about a minute later I changed my mind. Wish I hadn't. I got in line for Demon instead, waiting 5 minutes for back row. Seemed rougher than last time I rode it.

I got back in line for Deja Vu, and at about 4:30 it opened up. Waited about 20 minutes for row 4A. Great ride...

No day at SFGAm is complete without a ride on RB. Headed over to that, got on in the back in about 20 minutes. Best ride on RB ever, that really kicked butt. The park seemed empty by the afternoon. Then I got on Viper in about 25 minutes in row 4:1.

Headed to SUF, I had to use up my fastlane. This was probably the longest line I saw since V2. Got on in the back in about 5 minutes. Then I headed over to Batman, finding a very short line. Had an awesome ride in the back in about 10 minutes. It seemed a LOT faster than earlier.

SUF was really the only ride I could use my fastlane pass on, so I got 2 more rides on it in the back. Then I went on Raging Bull 2 times to end the night. Great day, lines were shorter than I expected.

SUF is accepting Fastlane passes now?
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

Really, fastlane already. Well lucky you. Where is the Fast-Lane Entrance?

The entrance is right in between SUF's regular entrance and the Heroes store. Basically where the lockers are.

Oh ok, thats good news, and not only cause the lines get really long for SUF, but because I got stung by a Wasp that flew out of its nest in one of the trees in the switchback and stung me... But anyway, I wonder if they will put Fastlane on all the Coasters now. AE and Demon don't need it, but Viper and Deja Vu, and possibly Ragin Cajun (hopefully not) do.

It's been known S:UF was getting FL for a long time now.

No sign or reason of Viper getting it, no way in hell Vu's gonna get it.

Fastlane:

S:UF's fastlane line is that diagonal path that runs alongside the queue house then sort of cuts over towards the stairs into the station.

DejaVu already has one similar to S:UF's built (it's diagonal and goes from the entrance to just past the queue house) however, there's no sign, probably because there would still be a significant wait for it and worse yet, if it breaks down, they don't want people to complain that they used their fast pass and can't ride.

Batman's is over by the restrooms and you end up waiting in the regular line starting at the tunnel.

Whizzer's is next to the regular entrance and you stay in your own line all the way to the top of the stairs.

I'm not sure where V2's is.

Iron Wolf's is around the corner near the train station, and you stay in your own line all the way to the top of the stairs.

Raging Bull's is the exit line.

Viper doesn't have one.

Spaceley's doesn't have one.

American Eagle doesn't have one.

Demon doesn't have one.

I think that's it! :D

V2's is right next to the entrance of the queue line. You get in right before the stairs. Also Giant Drop's is somewhere by the exit.

Giant Drops it at the exit, you walk right in. Iorn Wolf has the best one out of the Coasters, you could easily sneak in if you dont have a pass (i dont condone that). V2's if a big jump as well.

Excellent pics and TR Dejavugurl!,

I was not aware that the Fastlane was in effect on Superman as well! I shall be looking forward to going on the 30th, and your pics get me even more excited about it  .

2 Questions (for anyone)--

1) How is Iron Wolf riding this year? Does it seem smoother, or still extremely rough like last year?

2) How is Revolution as a ride? I have seen a few people's comments on it in some of the TR's, but I have yet to get a good jist of how the ride is.
I am going to be talking my girlfriend onto it for the first time this year!

It was fun to read a good TR!
SFGAM: next trip: Soon!

Iron Wolf is just as intense as ever. You still need to brace your head in some spots but in my opinion is well worth riding.

Revolution is fun. The best part is the reverse spinning when it goes into insane mode. Well worth riding. It's no Delirium but still a solid ride.

You mean Delerium at Great America? (iv'e always wondered how it compares with Revy, basically same thing but made by Chance and more spread out seating and goes higher).
