6-19-10 very crowded

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby Jackluver18 on June 20th, 2010, 12:17 am
Got to the park around 9:30, left a little later since I didn't want to sit in the parking lot for an hour. First ride was Whizzer with the new movie ads, went to go to Viper and it was closed so I went to Bull instead. After Bull was Demon with it's torn ads. After Demon, went and ate lunch in my car instead of eating in the park. After eating, I went to HH to cool off. It was getting rather hot around noon so I went to Skull Island and the Lazy River and Hurricane Bay before heading back into the park. After HH, went on Viper and then went to go see Show Stoppin at 4:45 with a friend of mine. It was ok, some new people and a few new songs but mostly the same. After the show, went over to Subway for dinner and then came back and went on Eagle which had both red trains up again. Then after Eagle, I went on Bull and STT. Didn't really get that many rides in today because it was hot and very crowded. After coming back from Subway there was still people coming in, Bull's line was 45 minutes which looked longer to me. There was a lot and I mean a lot of people at the park today, I think I heard the estimate was around 30,000.

I didn't get on V2 because I heard it got struck by lightning last night but saw it was open later on in the day. Iron Wolf was closed as well then reopened around 11:20, didn't get on Dipper or BTR or TDK because of the heat and crowds. After waiting a half hour for STT after some child decided it became a restroom, I went and got a ticket for parade. Then got in my car to come home. I am going back Tuesday with my so she can see parade, hope to get more rides in. I don't have many pictures today, mostly videos sorry.

If V2 was struck by lightning, it would have been down all day. Must be some GP rumor.

Rides are routinely struck by lighting, they are designed for it. Sometimes some issues arise as a result, but it's entirely plausible that it'd simply open late after a thorough check of the electrical system, especially V2 which is notoriously shady in the electrical department.

Also I did notice a lot of people had "Gay day" tshirts on, that's why it was so crowded plus it was a beautiful day to be at the park.

I don't like when you say statements like they are facts when they aren't. Please stop.

Also, being gay isn't a joke. Keep it to yourselves.

I wasn't making fun of it, that's what the day was. I didn't want to say it but that's what it was, I heard it was the same at Disneyworld too.

People are far too sensitive these days. Not even allowed to laugh at the phrase "gay day" ? I am pretty positive the person who laughed at it simply thought the rhyme was humorous.

No wonder everything is censored and boring these days...people instantly cry when something slightly edgy gets brought up.
