Galvan 316, what is your problem? I think you went off the deepend
with those comments. You are making it look like the characters
deserved to get pepper sprayed. Come on!!!
Think sensible. No one has the right to pepper spray or touch any
of the characters. Especially pepper spray. The person who did
that went way out of line, and you are defending that person, and now
you have gone out of line.
These characters work long hard hours to make our time at Six Flags
more enjoyable, so they in no way deserve what happened to them.
And your comment about, quit moaning over getting pepper sprayed.
Ok, I would like for you to get sprayed and we'll see what you say
after that.
Don't attack the characters like this. If you don't like the fact that they
are voicing their opinions and and such, don't read!
I hate the fact that people are defending the people that attacked
the characters! I would like for you to spend one day in their shoes,
and we'll see who is complaining then!

Show me where im defending those actions? perhaps there right in the same sentence where i said "The pepper spary incident was uncalled for"
Then read to me the posts where for weeks people would be on this thread complaining about there day as a Fright Fest Character.
Should i come on here and complain about my day to you? i didnt think so.

Well we are just voicing our opinion and such so if YOU don't like it don't read! And I would spend a day in there shoes anyday and I wouldn't complain. As far as the pepper sprey thing went that should have never have happened but when it comes to getting poked and touched just shut up.
To try to calm this topic down, my main question is, how in the
world did pepper spray get into the park? That is something that
the Security Guards should have picked up on.

Does your day involve Great America? If so then you have EVERY right to come on here and talk about your day seeings on how this is a Great America message board. It's like they are telling a TR only it's people who are actually involved in the park. I saw you comment on how you were assulted so why can't they? They are just telling real life and what's happening to them out there.
First of all, me commenting about being assualted was a joke, that was in my Trip Report. Second of all IF my day involved Great America, chances are i wouldnt write a trip report about it anyway.
If you search my past Trip Reports, very few are about Six Flags Great America, a few are from my trips to St. Louis and PKI etc etc.
It was a joke? Really? It's just that you commented on it 2 times in that TR. Sorry I guess I was mistaken
I am not trying to argue anything with you. You are intitled to your opinion as well as me and as well as everyone that writes on this board. I just don't see how you think that YOU can come onto this board and tell others that what they have to say is wrong. It happened to them.. not you. You are sick of them "whining" and I am sick of people bashing the charcters. Fair enough. Plus many many people who go to GA frequently throughout the season post TR everytime that they go and I enjoy reading those TR's. You are the one that tried to campare coming on here everyday and writing about your everyday life. I'm not trying to argue what TR's you have or have not written in the past. That's fine if you do not write TR's but you were trying to say that an employee of JPM who works at the park can not come on this board and talk about their day at the park.
I don't think that in my last post I was argumentative or disrespectful to you or I have ever been on this board. Boy I wish everyone was that way. Respectful of others. That's all it is. It's not too hard. Yes I feel the utmost sympathy for them because I did go to Fright Fest 7 times and each and everytime I saw abuse in some way, shape or form.

How about getting hit in the back multiple times, how about getting spit on? How about being pushed? How about any of that?
Most of what had been said on here is out of frustration. Characters go through a lot to make everyone happy but a few of the people in the park aren't mature enough to handle life so they try to act tough and do things they arent supposed to do. We are touched hundreds of times a day, it gets bothersome after a while.
Also, it's a challenge then. Will I see you at auditions in February? Probably not but try it, you might learn something.
First off, when we write about being poked, we are not complaining about being touched be a 7 year old, we are writing about being hit by teens and young adults: people who could cause real damage if they get it into their heads that they can get away with anything.
Second, it is ludicrous for any poster on a forum to tell people to shut up in some messages, and then defend themselves with statements about "its just my opinion" in others.
ok, i'm sorry first of all that i haven't been able to check back up on this in a while... my computer was being a skitzo... but i was only posting the little kid story to get a few chuckles.... i didn't really mean to be complaining about it or anything... it was one of the funniest harrassing incidents that happened to me...
also, i don't understand how you can say that we should come to this job expecting to be harrassed, i understand that being poked isn't that bad, but i HAVE had people come in and fully punch me in the stomach, or groups of older teenagers surround me and shove me around a circle... that IS uncalled for, and no one should ever have to expect that.
another thing is that posting in here is a way to keep me from punching back. i'm pretty sure that if i didn't get a chance after work and in here to talk about what is happening that the next person to touch me would get a fist to their face purely out of the fact that we're all pretty high strung by the last weekend.
oh, and all you people who are defending the harrassers... (first of all, i bet one of them was you), and second: when you're reading a post and you don't agree, why bother wasting your time to comment... and no offence, but you are only making yourselves look like morons by defending the people that come into the park simply to harass the people that work there... DO YOU SEE US COMING TO YOUR WORK AND HARASSING YOU?!?!
sorry, a little bit of a rant there, but i'm all better....
and i love you mike, not in that way, but in the way that you stuck up for me, and you have in the past, and you're a completely and totally awsome person!
You know what every one. Lets see fright fest with out the characters. All of them are great and do a wonderful job. So stop picking on them for telling how they are treated

No offence taken I could careless if I look like a moron I try to do that most the time, and sure come on into my work(The Hilton Hotel in Oak lawn) and harass me I don't get paid enough to care about the people.
i know that would have been soo fun! but if we did take the streacher out and down that hill one of us would have died, it would have been funny none the less, but it would be a pain to clean up all of the blood that would have been all over after.
Open letter to all of you haters who have a problem with us Creature Crewers coming on here to grouse that we get assaulted:
Are you too thick-skulled to realize that the reason we do this is EDUCATION? A lot of people who enjoy the park on a dailiy basis read this board. If we post here, and decide to whip a little perspective on you from the other side of the mask concerning how it feels to get the $#!+ beaten out of you for simply doing your job, it's so that we can hopefully spread the word that it's UNACCEPTABLE.
Yeah, we 8!+(# about getting hit. But for you to reduce it to the level of "Oh, poor me, a 3-year-old tapped my leg" does nothing but demonstrate your CONTINUED ignorance of the issue. Characters were pepper-sprayed. Others were exposed to potentially dangerous bodily fluids of total strangers. Still others were hit so hard that charges were pressed and guests were escorted from the park in the back of police cars. Ever had someone you couldn't even SEE full-on roundhouse punch you in the back of the head on your blind side for no greater crime than simply wearing a costume and walking around? I have. Filth has. Until you have, keep your bloody mouth shut. And anyway, Park Security and Gurnee's finest sure take these things seriously. If you don't, then that's YOUR problem.
So, even though YOU may be READING "Boo-hoo, I was poked by a little kid. Feel Sorry for me." What we're SAYING is, "We're getting the $#!+ beaten out of us for no reason, and we'd appreciate it if you could knock it off and tell others to also, or they could potentially ruin the event for everyone."
Honestly its not worth it! Creatures go through alot, if they don't understand fine, they don't. When they ruin it for everyone else maybe then they will get it. For the time being, everythings good. The people who hurt characters get what they deserve. Fright fest was amazing this year, everyone did a great job, I hope to see everyone back next year. Also I got pics of pretty much ALL of you (but no promises) - if you would like to see what I have let me know.

I think it would be pretty funny/sad if some little 6 year old kid went up to one of the monsters for an autograph and tapped him on the shoulder and got sprayed in the eyes.
For the creatures... it seems like not alot of people will stick up for all the characters. So you gotta stick up for each other. No one understands, no matter how much ya tell them. Gotta have Creature Crew love
