This Summer is going to be packed for me with over 100 new roller coasters. I figure I might as well do it as 1 forum. Even though I have a digital camera, I won't post pics. Not to be a D but cause I don't tend to take alot of theme park pics.
Anyway...

The first half has clearly been retracked (It's smoother and It's not painted) but the 2nd half is traditional rough wooden coaster. It's not as bad as Eagle's helix's but there is a noticeable difference.
Maybe some others can weigh in on this, but I don't think namtaB counts as a different credit. It's the same track, and same installation, but only a different train. I don't consider it a new credit if I ride a coaster I've ridden before but with a new train.

As someone that does NOT keep track of how many coasters I ride, if I did, I would count as a different credit. The reason being is because the ride experience feels so much different from forwards to backwards. It is, like riding a completely different ride. I think it's worse backwards, but still. For Eagle, I actually want to ride Eagle backwards as compared to forwards also. It is just so much better in my opinion for blue train to go backwards. It's fun whereas I think Eagle forwards is boring. Just my opinion, but backwards and forwards completely change rides. Not a roller coaster, but riding a Venture Cobra backwards is something else compared to forwards. Again, ride is so much better backwards.

I think it's cheating counting each Batman ride as a new credit. Backwards is one thing, but counting each clone as a new credit...

To each his own. The one type of coaster I don't count is relocated coasters. Like I rode Deja Vu here, But I won't ever count it as new if I ride it at Silverwood.

Each Batman coaster may be identical in layout and materials, but I find that each "Ride" can be different. For example, SFGAm has fantastic theming, the trees have grown around the ride and it delivers a far better experience than the Batman at SFMM.
SFStL has another "clone" which is a mirror image, and delivers the same "ride" in a completely different way.

Returned to the Hotel, Slept, and Flew out of Rochester at 8:09am.
You know turning cars around backwards doesn't make a ride a new coaster. If just the cars matter I could couunt each coaster 2-3 times and I'd be well over 2,000 coasters. Zam/Reverchon mice out of the 35 or so I've ridden I could make them 315 coasters rather than 35.
Favorite Wood Coasters: The Voyage, Ravine Flyer II, Thunderhead, Balder Favorite Steel: Steel Vengeance, Expedition GeForce, Olympia Looping Parks visited: 222, Coasters Ridden: Steel: 822, Wood: 178, Total: 1000

I personally wouldn't count repeat rides on Spinning coasters as different coasters. Forward coasters are forward the entire ride, Backwards coasters are backwards the entire ride.
These are my rules. At least I don't cheat (And I'm not going to say who) by counting Alpine coasters.
Coaster Justin wrote:If I rode it before it got relocated, I don't count it.
Like I rode X-Flight at SFWoAdv so it doesn't count at Kings Island
Also if Eagle Blue Backwards counts, Viper Backwards counts then.
I count Eagle Red and Blue, but not because Blue is backwards. I've ridden it both backwards and forwards, yet Blue is only one credit. Same goes for Batman, and Viper once I get a chance to ride it backwards.
I agree on the relocations though. If you've ridden it somewhere, it's only one credit. I'll have the chance to ride Aftershock at Silverwood next weekend, but I won't count it since I've already ridden it as Deja Vu.
Sounds like how I do it. I figure track record = number of tracks I've ridden. Rolling stock is rather irrelevant. Then I count each side of a Mobius Coaster as .5, and don't count powered, relocated, Intamin HalfPipes and some other coasterish stuff but not really a coaster. Also I don't count Alpine Coasters, not sure why though, you ride on a car with wheels, locked onto a steel track, has a lifthill then is powered by nothing but gravity back to the station, only difference is you control the brakes.

Anyway....
Anyone have tips for me on Beech Bend, Stricker's Grove, Coney Island, Ohio or Kings Island?
Late August weekday for Kings Island. It will be dead, and you can get all the coasters there in a matter of 2 hours. You won't wait more than 5 trains for anything. The only downside is that only one side of Racer will be open, probably red.
