SFGAm 9/5-DVTR saves the day!

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby SixFlagsChick on September 5th, 2005, 8:46 pm
HEY! So like the first thing I want to tell you all is that DejaVutheRide saved four ppls lives today at SUF!..... Let me explain....... we were waiting in line for SUF (we would be the next train) and he goes..holy crap there are ppl wondering around out there under the ride! I was like.... HOLY COW! and so we told an operator and they shut the ride down (the one train in the dock was loading and the other one was ready to unload behind it). Soooo for like five mins (at least) the ride was on hold while these idiots had to be escorted out of the area they were not supposed to be in. Some guy was complaining about how we wasted his time and crap....better than someone dying.

In any case. SFGAm was pretty much dead. Had a great ride on Ragining Bull in the morning. Vu got me sick as usual and going backwards on American Eagle didnt help any at all. Then off to V2... still queasy (my friend threw up) and then we went on Batman. Now mind you, this is all in a two hour period of time, so yea....stomach didn't get a chance to settle in.

Overall, park was definately not croweded. A great day to visit. Didn't get a chance to ride Raging Bull again... But the company was fantastic. Thanks guys!

Well, that sucks. Not for you of course, but for me. I figured the crowds would be down so I wanted to be there today.

Good thing you guys let the ride ops now of the wanderers. I would to. People messing around in places they shouldn't be can easily lead to disaster.

Wow, I always expected labor day to be crowded. Seems like it's been dead recently.

^ I think the cost of gas could be the main reason for that.

I hate stupid people. Seriously, did it ever occur to those MORONS the those fences are there for a reason.

Believe it or not, fences aren't just for looks. If I were in charge, I would kick them out of the park. Stupid rejects.

it was a pretty good day. Everything was good except for my freakin allergies making me feel miserable. I felt so crappy by 6:30 that we left and went to eat dinner at Olive Garden. We had a great group of people, everyone seemed to have fun, except for a few illnesses among the eight of us :? . Got on many coasters, had fun, end of story.

It was a good day, but after Friday, it didnt seem great like it should have been, there were lines! I am used to there being no lines, I have gone 3 straight days with no lines, and now, lines, what is this!

The only ride that had a decent wait was RB, which of course would have been much short if tney had run 3 trains like they should have.

yea stupid RB... I got pissed when I found out they were running two trains.

DJV was kewl because we got the first ride of the morning and didn't have to wait. Can't imagine that line later in the afternoon. Would have taken an hour to get through. Why DJV isn't on fastlane (most of the time) still confuses the hell out of me. That I would gladly pay for.

Capacity is so low as it is, adding Fastlane would just make it worse. Although, the crew this year is fantastic. Entusiasm is nice, but what I really care about more than anything is how quickly they are keeping the lines moving. The crew is definately quick, giving (and repeating 3 times) all the spiels while the ride is cycling helps, too. Definately one of (if not the best) rides crew in the park.

If Six Flags would just switch to a reservation system, they could take the first 500 people, give them each a time to come back, and the system would really work. Instead, with the current system, lines would be forming for the Fastlane, because they can only let so many Fastlane users per standby riders on.

good point. I think we need a Q bot type system.

I almost forgot...the stupid harness on DJV scared the crap out of me..it was like it never even locked. I spent most of the time on the ride in panic thinking it would release. I think that is the last time I am going to ride DJV

Except you have to pay for Q-Bot  . I like Universal's system. You select the time to come back and bring your old-fashioned paper tickets along. Plus, they have the "Plus" card where you can walk in without a reservation as much as you want (although there may be a max. of one ride per card per day). It works well and keeps guest satisfaction up.

yeah, we didn't wait too long. If my allergies weren't in full bloom, it would have been even better.
