SFGAm Monday August 29

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby DejaVuGurl1203 on August 29th, 2005, 9:56 pm
Today was a pretty good day. Got to the park around 10:30, and they weren't even letting anybody in yet which surprised me. This was the first time I've been there for the national anthem. Once the chains dropped I ran to Vu, but of course, it was temporarily closed. Demon had the "This Ride Will Not Open Today" sign up.

So then I headed to Bull. 2 trains running, 10 minute wait for back. Then I hopped onto GD, which only had 3 of the cars running. Getting to the top kinda freaked me out a bit for the first time in a while  after the ride I was thinking I have to go on this again today.

Then went on Viper, 3 train wait for 2nd to last row. Great ride as always... Next was Revolution, walk on. Then I waited 10 minutes to get on Iron Wolf. I almost decided to go check up on Vu before going to Eagle... but chose Eagle anyways. It sucked that only the Red side was open. 20 minute wait for front row. Ah, when I was on the ride I saw that Vu was testing.

And once I get over there, it's already open. Saw Demon testing while I was in line... 30 minute wait for 8B. You may find this surprising coming from me, but, this ride kinda sucked. Something hit me in my arm and it was throbbing, and my stomach was also throbbing. It didn't seem all that awesome for once.

Then we decided to eat at Aunt Martha's. Next I went on Whizzer, 10 minute wait for the front. Then went on Triple Play, in the yellow arm. Next was SUF, walk on for back row. Then I walked right back on 2 times in row 7. Great rides...

Then I took 2 rides on King Chaos, which was awesome as always... Then a 10 minute wait for Ragin Cajun. Always a fun little ride. I got excited as I came upon BTR because I knew it had a walk on. But I went in front row first because it was gonna be my 100th ride ever on it. Sweet ride... Walked back on 3 times in the back row, and after the 3rd time I got to say on for two more rides which was awesome.

I think I had enough after 6 BTR rides in a row... so I went to IW, hopped right on in row 6. Went on AER again, walk on for back row. Ouch, usually back row doesn't hurt me but this time it did. I still like front better...

On my way to RB I saw that Demon was open. Went on Bull, 10 minute wait for the back. The midcourse brakes were barely even on this time, which made for a better ride. Went on GD again since it had a decent 3 minute wait. Demon looked like a walk on so I headed there... only to find that the line grew bigger, so it was a 10 minute wait for 6:1. I'm glad the ride opened up today.

Then took another ride on Vu after getting some Dippin Dots, and they FINALLY add a grouper when the park is less than an hour away from closing. :? 45 minute wait for 1B. Much better ride. I got right back on in 1B within 10 minutes, just after the park closed.

It was a great day to go to the park, the crowds were very small and not too many rides were closed. Plus season passholders got to eat for 25% off :)

So, Demon opened. Who knew? I probably was gone before that.

Yeah, it opened around 5. It actually didn't surprise me that it opened up even thoug they had the sign that said it would not open.

It was great to finally remember what a walk on feels like, since I hadn't had one since May. I don't really post TR so I think I'll just post some random stuff in here:

RIDES I WALKED ONTO OR WAITED ONE TRAIN FOR:
Batman, Viper, SUF, Deja, IW, Demon. All of those but Deja I could have stayed on for a reride.

There were a lot of sups and full times operating rides today, and surprisingly they didn't care if you grabbed a re-ride.

Hurricane Harbor was pretty dead as well, usually not longer than a 5 minute wait for anything (other than the family slide)

I won the chain drop to SUF

Saw Deja miscatch twice, once badly on the second spike.

they have a chain drop to SUF now? I thought you could just go stand in line now forming as soon as the park opens the gates.

They didn't open the gates to anyone but season pass holders until 10:55. When they aren't expecting many people they will have a chain drop in the entrance of Orleans Place and the entrance to Hometown square.
