I just got back from the park about an hour ago. The weather was great, but the smaller crowd was even better.
One of the first things you notice walking through the gates is the start of Fright Fest theming. There is a giant inflatable spider across from the reflection pond. The hurse, a gargoyle, tombstones, and working, brewing, witches are near Hometown Station. They even had some Halloween music.
The first ride of the day was Raging Bull, which was great. It was running two trains throughout the day. The Raging Bull crew had to be one of the more enthusiastic groups, high-fiving the riders and such.
Next was Deja Vu, which was only about a 15-20 minute wait for row 2B. Later in the day, Deja Vu was stuck when the train descended the second tower. But, the ride was up and running in about 5-10 minutes, which was quicker than I expected. I was able to get two more rides in 1B, in which people avoid that row like the plague.
With American Eagle, only Red was running in the morning/early afternoon. I had seen Blue testing in the morning, before opening, while waiting for Raging Bull. However, I don't know if Blue ever did open.
One of the longest lines of the day was Ragin' Cajun, which was about 15-20 minutes. It's only my second ride on it this season, and I might just keep it that way.
Superman was a complete walk-on for all rows except Row 1.
Batman was also a complete walk-on for all rows except Row 1. The Batman crew was the only crew to not do any spiels and such.
Overall, it was a great day. I'm looking forward to next Friday, with the added bonus perk(Fright Fest Fastlane).
The only major ride to be closed was V2. Nearly all of the flat rides were open.
