SFGAm April 30th - Awesome Deja Vu Day

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby DejaVuGurl1203 on April 30th, 2005, 10:41 pm
Today was a really great day. I got on a ton of rides and saw many many people from the forums. Vu was open ALL day and opened on time. This is going to be long... So much happened.

Well I finally got out the door at about 8:50. We got there just at the sly of opening, so I didn't get to run to any rides. I didn't care though, I was happy as long as I was there and I would get on some rides. I headed straight for Vu first, and on the way I ran into Jeff, Ally, and Krystal. They had just gotten off. So I continued on to DV. I was going to wait for 1A but the wait for 1B was like 3 trains shorter. I ended up getting on the same train as Jeff, Ally and Krystal since they decided to come back over to Vu. It was a 15 minute wait. I got on and it felt so unreal. The ride was AMAZING! I think I forgot how awesome a coaster felt until then, especially Vu itself.

Then Ally and Krystal went to get their parking passes I guess, and Jeff and I waited in Hometown Square and met up with 2 other girls. Once Ally and Krystal came back we headed to Viper. Jeff and I got in row 1:3, it was a 1 train wait. Great airtime, as always. Before we went on Bull, 2 other girls joined our group (FrightFestFreak3 and some other girl). So now there were 8 of us. We waited about 5 minutes for back row and had an awesome ride. It was a nice view of HH from Bull.

Next we went on Giant Drop. It would have been about a 2 minute wait but it broke down. We waited it out, it took maybe 10 minutes to fix it. We got on and had a great ride. It gave me a slight headache though for a bit. Next was Demon, it had started testing when we were heading over there. We waited 5 minutes for it to open up, and then Jeff and I waited 2 trains for the front row. It was a really good ride. During the vertical loops my stomach felt extremely weird, it was odd. Next, we went to Revolution, and only waited 1 cycle. I started to feel sick at the beginning of the ride but it wasn't bad, I still enjoyed the ride a lot. It was running great.

Then we went on AER. Waited 1 train for back row. Great ride, it was running great today. Iron Wolf was next, we all rode in the front row. It was about a 10 minute wait. Great ride, it felt really smooth for once. Then most of us went on SSR. I went in front row, great ride. ;) Four of the girls in our group left for a bit. Then we went to V2, which was closed... The guy said it had been closed since 12:15, and it was 1 at the time. Ride ops were cleaning the station, and fixing LIM's. At 1:15 they opened the ride, and we got in front row. It was running awesome today. Batman was next, it had just opened up when we got over there because it was down. No one was in the station so we got in front row. We got right back on in the back row. Awesome ride.

Then we went on Cajun, it would have been a 15 minute wait but it broke down on us. It was down for at least 20 minutes, one of the cars got stuck on the lift hill. It was a good ride. We went to eat in Bayou Grill... nice place, I'd never been there before. The other 4 girls came back and we all watched the Jug o' Jugglers, it was very entertaining. Next we headed to Superman... CLOSED. But we waited for it to open, which took about 10 minutes. Then waited another 10 minutes for back row since a few of the seats on both trains were broken. Today, SUF was acting like the ol' Deja Vu. For once I had a really good ride on SUF, I decided not to look ahead at the people's feet and I stared down at the ground. It felt so much more awesome, I felt more of the "flying" feeling. It was great.

Then we went on Stargate, which was cool. Also went on Sky Trek Tower. Then we all went on Whizzer, not much of a wait of course... probably about 10 minutes. We went back over to Batman. We rode it once in front row and twice in the back row, they were pretty much 5 minute waits. We went to V2 and I rode in the back row, walk on. Awesome ride. Jeff managed to stay on... I could have too but I was lazy. We went to Batman again and went in front row, 5 minute wait. We stayed on for another ride but went in the 4th row. A bit after that, 2 of the girls had to leave. It was about 6. Krystal also left us for a little bit. The 5 of us went to Iron Wolf and it was a walk-on for back row. While we were in the first or second turn right after the loop, there was a very unusual CRACK. We told the ride ops once we got off, and they checked it out. No idea what happened though, we didn't stay to watch.

We went on Eagle next, 1 train wait. In the station we saw some people from the forums. Next was Bull, they apparently took off the red train earlier so it was in 2 train operation. About a 5 minute wait or so for row 8. Really good ride, but it felt slow, and it was cold. We got back on in front row, the wait was about 10-15 minutes. COLD RIDE! But fun. Then we went on Viper, 1 train wait for row 3. I had better airtime than this morning. Next, we ran to Deja Vu to try and get 2 or 3 rides on it. It was about 7:30 when we got over there. The station was really empty. We just chose any empty rows. I went in row 4B, great ride. We got right back in line, and the station was COMPLETELY EMPTY. Amazing... me and Jeff went in row 1B since 2 other people beat us to 1A. After that we got to stay on for 5 more rides. We were on it until about 8:05 and we were on the last train of the night. It was AWESOME, I'm so glad I got that many rides on Vu today.

The park has changed so much... New signs for closed rides, new games, they took out some games, a new resturaunt, etc... This is really going to be a great season. It already is.

It appears they are building one by Viper, where the shooting gallery used to be. Not sure if it's true though.

Nope lol. I sure wish I went though.

Yeah, Deja Vu has been reliable for a while now, but Saturday it was running the best it had ever run. Great job SFGAm. :)
