Opening Day - 32 rides

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby DejaVuGurl1203 on May 1st, 2004, 9:22 pm
We left at 8:40 and got there at 9:45. I ran into the park and waited like 20 minutes until they dropped the chains. Ran straight to Batman. I was the fourth one in line, got on first dispatch front row. Here's a list of all the rides I went on today:

BTR - 4
Raging Bull - 3
Deja Vu - 1, first dispatch row 7A
Revolution - 3
Viper - 2
V2 - 2
Demon - 1
Giant Drop - 2
Iron Wolf - 2
Fiddler's Fling - 1
ERC - 1
Stargate - 1
Sky Trek Tower - 1
Great America Raceway - 1
AER - 1
AEB - 2
Spacely's - 1
Whizzer - 1
SUF - 2

We left at 7 because my parents were too cold.

-Revolution was weak at first, but the second half of the ride was pretty intense.
-Stargate was pretty good, I've never been on a ride like it. Pretty interesting.

Overall today was awesome. Pretty empty park, the longest wait was probably like 20 minutes.

I hoped that I could have gone, but I'm glad you had fun. Was Triple Play open? Or was it still down. Any pics?

It looked exactly like it did in Chitown's construction photos. I did see the cars for it while on S:UF though, they are behind the bumper cars I think.

I took 104 pictures but none of Triple Play lol, if that's what pics you were asking for. Actually you can kinda see it in one of my pictures from Sky Trek Tower. I'll get all my pictures up sometime later.

By looking at those pictures it leads me to believe that Ragin will be streching out to where the Picnic Grove entrance was. I'm hoping that once the constuction is over the entrance will still be there just a little bit less wide as before.

Here's a more detailed TR.

We left at 8:40 and got there at 9:45. I ran into the park and waited like 20 minutes until they dropped the chains. Ran straight to Batman. I was the fourth one in line, got on first dispatch front row. When we came to the brakes, I was thinking, My offseason is officially over. :) Got right back on in 5 minutes, in the back row.

Headed over to V2 and waited like 10 minutes for the front row. Great ride, great ride... Then I headed to Iron Wolf and it was a walk-on for the back row. Wasn't as rough as it used to be. Nice ride.

I saw that Revolution was open before I got on, so I ran over to that. It looked BEAUTIFUL. Really caught my eye. So I waited about 5 minutes and got on. As I said before, it felt weak at first, but when it reversed directions it was faster and more intense. Great ride. I'd give it a 7/10

Once I got off, I found Brad talking to my parents. He said that Kyle was on Revolution with some other people, so I waited for them. We then went on AER. When we got on, I forgot that it had seatbelts and pulled my lapbar down. We waited like, 5-10 minutes until the train left the station for some reason. Great ride, in car 4 I believe. Can't remember lol.

Brad ran off when we got off AER, we spent like 10 minutes looking for him but never found him. So we continued on and headed for Raging Bull. I wasn't that cold on any of the rides until I rode RB. It was seriously freezing, lol. Fun ride anyway.

We then went on Giant Drop. 5 minute wait. The ride felt weak. We headed over to Viper, waited 5-10 minutes for the last car. Great ride...

We quickly took a ride on Demon, thinking Brad would be riding it, but he wasn't. We waited like 2 minutes to get on. It seemed slow, but was a great ride anyway. Then we went over to Whizzer... waited about 10 minutes for the last row. Nice ride...

After that we headed to Stargate. Waited about 5-10 minutes. I've never been on a motion simulator before, and this was a nice ride. 5/10.

Then we went on Sky Trek Tower. I feel ashamed to say it but this was my first time riding it lol. Nice view, I loved how everything looked from the tower. 7/10

Then we headed over to Superman. Waited about 5 minutes for the back. Great ride, pretzel loop felt awesome. We took a bunch of pictures of Mardi Gras and Yankee Harbor. One of the guys who was with us had to leave. After that we went on BTR again, back row.

We were gonna go on V2 but there was actually a line, so we skipped it lol. We rode Fiddler's Fling. Fun ride but it hurts. Went on Revolution. It seemed a little more intense than before.

Then we went on AEB. Nice ride, seemed a little faster than before. Then we had lunch at Farmer's Market. After that we went on Great America Raceway. Interesting but boring ride. 3/10

Then we headed over to Deja Vu and found Brad waiting in line for it to open up. It opened up a few minutes later, and we got first dispatch in row 7.

Then we went over to Superman again. This time the wait was about 10-20 minutes. Got in row 3 and had a nice ride. We headed over to ERC. Fun. Then Brad wanted to go on Ice Mountain Splash, so he did. He was soaked lol. Then we went on Batman getting in back row.

V2 had a much shorter line now, so we went on. Waited about 5-10 minutes. I'm starting to like this ride more and more. Then we decided to go on Spacely's lol. Waited like 3 minutes.

Then we headed for Iron Wolf and got right on in the back row. It was rougher this time. No biggie, though. Then we went on Revolution again. Fun ride. Rode AEB again, getting on in about 2-5 minutes. Headed over to Giant Drop and waited about 5 minutes. Still seemed weak. I hardly even noticed the drop at all, lol. Then we got on Raging Bull row 8. It felt like we were in row 9 lol.

I had to go process my season pass, so I went over to the pass processing center. There was no line at all, I picked the perfect time.

Went straight back over to Bull finding Kyle & Jim still over there. Rode in the front row. I love it in the front, I felt so much more wind blowing in my face lol.

Last ride of the day for me was Viper in the very back. Great ride, great ride... it was seriously flying lol. Felt really fast.

Left at 7 because my parents were too cold. Awesome day, totally great. Probably the best day at SFGAm. Can't wait to go back. :D For some parts of the day I had a headache. And the weather wasn't so bad, it got colder by the afternoon. It only drizzled slightly during some parts of the day. There were a few peaks of sunshine around 6 and 7:30.
