Best day of Fright Fest ever !!!
The kids have been going insane waiting for Fright Fest so I figured I'd give it a shot on opening weekend. Got to the park around 10:00 and the parking lot was pretty much empty. The weather was a little cool and it was cloudy most of the day so I guess that scared a lot of people away. There was also some kind of pom pom 'tournament' so a lot of the people that were at the park were over in Yukon Territory for the first few hours during that competition.
We never waited more than 1 cycle for any ride all day. We had multiple re-rides on pretty much everything (except Whizzer or Swamp Thing or the Karate Coaster or the Grown-Ups Fun Machine or whatever they call it). The kids also loved the characters dressed up for Halloween over in the kids section. Be sure to stop by before 2:00 for trick or treating.
By about 1:00 we had been on everything we wanted more than once. After a pretty crowded summer it was nice to have free reign of the park and ride at will. I'm sure upcoming weekends won't be as nice as we get closer to Halloween, but this day was about as good as it gets.
