Some advice...

Talk about anything that has to do with the amusement park industry here.

I am building a new bedroom in my house and will be shortly moving in. The whole theme of the room has been predecided about 10 years ago. I would like to do it with a "coaster" feel to it. So far all I have in mind is pictures and poster that I have that I will put on the walls, and a model or two of a ferris wheel and a coaster I have built. On the wall I would like to paint a mural... the only thing is that I don't know what to paint. Any suggestions? Also, any other suggestions for things I should include in my room? I have been looking on ebay for many different maps and what not but those type of things are looking very pricey. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Hmmm... neat idea. I knew some guy who somehow got ahold of an old wooden coaster train (well, not a whole train, just one car...). I'm sure though you'd have trouble finding that though lol. As for the mural... I would just paint a scene, as if you were looking into the park (like your perspective as if you were standing there in the park). Paint some trees, maybe a steel and a wooden coaster in the background... Maybe a ferris wheel and a tower ride (like an observation tower). That would be way cool!

Well thanks for the idea. Yeah, that would be kinda tough. i think I decided for sure on the mural. At the top of the cedar point website http://www.cedarpoint.com there is that banner, I think I'm going to blow that up and paint it onto my wall. It's looking like its going to be awesome. Maybe after I do all this I'll try to get some pictures and onto this site somehow. We'll see though how everything works out.

Good luck sounds like a cool idea. Since im a big wrestling fan, when I got my own room I themed it to wrestling with alot of wrestling posters everywhere. Now half the wrestlers don't even wrestle and half the posters are old and falling down. Im starting to think it wasn't such a great idea now. :) So if I have any advice its to use good tape for anything you put on your wall. :)

Awesome posters! I love the Corkscrew at Cedar Point. Thank you very much coasterguy. I just got some birthday money so I think I'm going to have to bid on them. I really appreciate it!

Yeah I didn't end up getting either of those, but it was a good idea. I have really been looking around and I'm waiting for something to go for under $10.

What is a topper model? I have a $20 model ferris wheel I got for Christmas, but I think we're talking about two different things.

Well, I think Topper is mostly a model train company, but they make amusement park models... They're pretty cool. Search for them on Ebay.
