This is the year of the Brewers! Currently 16-9, 1st place in the NL Central with a 3.5 game lead.

They won tonight, despite the death of Cardinals pitcher Josh Hancock.

What is your take on the Brewers and the NL central?

My take is I'll believe it when I see it.

Brewers have never made the playoffs in my lifetime.

You weren't alive in 1982?

Anyway, I believe in them this year, they got a nice thing going. Alot of young players stepping up both at bat and on defense. It's a great thing to see them winning and in high spirits unlike the last 5 years where everything was depressing. Go Brew Crew

Born in '88.

Generally most seasons start in high hopes and high spirits, they may even be at .500 at the all star break, then generally they go on a few 10 game losing streaks that kill any chance they have at the post season...

^Exactly, they've pretty much swept the cardinals every chance they got.

The Brewers are going to do some damage and NOT end up a mere .500 no way. Unless the team gets the injury plague. Then thats a whole different story in which nobody can control.

^Too bad the Brewers looked a lot like themselves last year when they blew a 4 run lead in the 8th inning. In classic Derrick Turnbow fashion no less!

Yeah no kidding. They are really slipping in this series against Philadelphia. Let's hope they dont slip too much now. They are in second now.

So how bout them Brewers?

Lookin like themselves again. No offense. Pitching is sloppy at times but it doesn't matter how good your pitching is if you half your innings on offense go 1-2-3.

3-3 right now against the Braves with a man in scoring position. Lets see if they can snap this 6 game losing streak.

I made it to my first Brewers game on Memorial Day. I consider myself proud to be a native cheesehead, but seeing 40,000 plus fans standing and cheering for their favorite sausage?

I mean these folks were rabid, the race got the biggest reaction of the day, truly a sight to behold all on its own.

Of course I replaced Brewers with Cubbies during the singing of take me out to the ballgame as well.
It's the most fun in the park when your laughing in the dark.

Look, I'm a Brewers fan, but I'm also a realist. I've been to 5 games already this season and love the team. Ryan Braun should be a canidate for Rookie of the Year.

But I told you so. Bullpen is falling apart. 5 blown games since the all star break. And we are 4-10 since the break, if the bullpen was there the Brewers would be looking good at 9-5, its the worst way to lose games cause it kills the team emotionally. So frustrating.

The Brewers also had a fight in the dugout with there manager and a few players.

I think the Injury to Ben Sheets whose as fragile as Kerry Wood or Mark Prior and the meltdown in the bullpen couple that with a realativly inexperienced young team could mean the Cubs get to the postseaon!

We shall see

Man, I follow the Brewers pretty closely, but I never heard of this fight in the dugout. Who were the players involved? Eh, maybe I'll go find out myself. I mean, I DO HAVE the internet, lol.
Hee hee, look. I have a signature thingy um, thing.

I was at the game when the fight happened. It was between Johnny Estrada and Ned Yost. The catcher and the Manager. I can only imagine that it was from the disasterous 6th and 7th innings where the pitching really needed to be changed but never was. That seems to be the problem about Ned after the break, our bullpen is getting tired, so he leaves guys in there for a whole inning even if they give up 4 runs and blow the game. I'd be frustrated too it I was a veteran on the team.

But at least Ryan Bruan still kicks ass. Rookie of the Month and player of the month. pwned.
