Strange thing about Mr. Puckett - The scout who discovered him for the majors is from a small town outside of Lincoln, IL called Beason. This town's big claim to fame is literally "Home of the guy who discovered Kirby Puckett". They even run a news story about it every once in a while.
I'm sure that with his untimely death - there'll be even more about it in their paper. It's the most fun in the park when your laughing in the dark.
Even though I am a BREWERS fan, it is still sad that he died at age 45.
