Have you ever noticed that the mods on most boards only lock flaming topics that disagree with their views. If the topic is about something they believe in they'll let the thing breed. But if it's a topic they disagree with BOOM, it's locked.

Yeah, I did notice that. Not all of them get locked, but most of them are.

These forums aren't half as moderated as they once were...we used to have 5 or 6 locked topics on one page. So if your complaining about the moderating now then you would have really hated how it was a year or so ago.....as we have really lightened up.

Bottom line people are never happy with how the boards are moderated and we get complaints if we don't moderate enough or if we moderate very little.

Isn't a collage an art project? Oh, you meant college....maybe you ought to take a grade school level spelling class before you take a college English (notice the capitalization of the word English)class.

I didn't mean this board specifically, although I have noticed some locked topics.....I was just on another board prior to being here that locked a topic debating abortion, where as there was alot of posting about the debate there wasn't a lot of bickering or name calling, but since the original topic started out pro-life and the mod that blocked it was pro-choice, is why I was just ranting in this topic.

As for the way the moderators moderate, i disagree with aero on a lot of things and i make dodgey comments. But aero, chitown, and coasterdude, have the right to lock any topic they feel. They run this board, we dont. Dont like it. well make your own forum.

I was just messing with you...geesh.....lighten up, laugh at yourself a little.

As for the topic I was just ranting, if you notice my first post on the topic I said message boards plural, not neccesarily this one in particular. The board I was ranting about, a particular mod locked a topic simply because the conversation had swayed from his/her POV, other topics on the board continue with name calling and all out bickering, but if the people bickering are arguing his/her POV, then the topic stays open. I was just wondering if anyone else seems to notice this on this or any other board they post on.

We do lock topics outside the offtopic forum if people are arguing or not respecting eachother.
