In my opinion this is bunk. Ron Santo really does deserve to be in the hall of fame. He is by far the Cub's best 3rd basers ever and quite possible one of the best in MLB. With Santo's ailing health, he might not make it 2 more years to have another hearing before the Veterans Commitee.

Why even have a Hall of Fame if they arent going to elect Santo in this is a disgrace.
It's total BS for Santo not to be in the hall of fame. Hell, he has some of the best numbers of any third baseman ever, and he did it all while HAVING DIABETES! I mean really, what more can you ask for, 9 all star games, 5 gold gloves, 350+ homers, my god, what more does someone have to do.
